Riggs Nash

I wake up on the elevator floor realizing I must have passed out, I glance up and see the number 7 and it quickly changes to 8. I pick myself up and dust myself off. Just as the doors open I pick up my bag.  I walk through the elevator doors and walk past a few units as I reach a few different doors, “Dario Rhodes, Riggs Nash..”  I look at the door that says Riggs and I open the door. As I enter the room, my boss Riggs looks up at me with a look of surprise, “I wasn’t expecting you to come today!” Riggs says with a smile, “I woke up late..” I said with a gloomy look on my face.  “Happens to the best of us, you aren’t in trouble.” He said looking back down at his computer. “Thank you Riggs.” I said with sudden relief. I walked to my unit and began looking on my computer for any extra work to be done.
Riggs is my uncle, he and my father used to work together. My dad used to be in his position, but after his passing Riggs was promoted to his spot. Riggs has been kind to me, he offered me this job when I reached the age of 16. I’ve made plenty of mistakes in this job but he is always there to vouch for me and get me out of trouble. I know he only does it because he feels bad but I still appreciate it, especially as of late.
I spent a few hours on the extra work I am able to do in my position. I can't do big projects so I do extra work that needs to be done by other workers. I work away at what needs to be done, as I glance down at my clock; 5:56. “Four more minutes” I think to myself. For the next four more minutes I just get lost in thought staring at my screen. Then my alarm silently goes off. I gather up my papers and set them on the side of my desk. I carefully put my laptop into my bag and swing my bag strap around my shoulder. As I stand up ready to leave, I hear someone call my name, “Elizabeth!” A high pitched voice shouts out. I turn around with a sudden shock, and right in front of me is one of my coworkers.
Her name is Amy, she is the gal out of our job who is the most upbeat.  She is the kind of person who does kind gestures for people with no reason whatsoever. I’ve always been..jealous of her. How can someone be so happy with no reason to be? To be so positive in such a negative place.
She hands me a small box and looks at me with the biggest smile one can do. “Thank you for what you do around here! Just wanted to give a small gift as a piece of my gratitude!” She said as she walked off. “Why would-“ I stop myself. I open up the small box, inside it holds a beautiful bracelet. I smile as I put it on my wrist and put the box in my bag. I walked through the doors of the elevator, when I enter I press the button with a number one on it.
