Just as my eyes started to blur from the tears, I smelled a god awful smell. My head started to get dizzy, as I found myself on the ground. I turned to the door, to just faintly see the gas from in the lab seeping under the door. As the gas started to get closer, it felt like my skin was burning. I curled up into a ball, hoping it was all in my mind.
I crawled closer to the fridge, looking for something to make the now growing burning sensation go away. I had no Idea what any of these liquids in the bottles did. I rolled over on my back, as a shock of pain ran up my body, I looked down, and I saw blisters running up my body. I rolled on my side, trying to protect the blisters I felt appearing on my back. As my breath became raspy I saw the paper of the fungi. On the bottom it read, “ Μύκητες Εγκαύματα” I burst out a high pitched scream as I sat up.
I aggressively ran through the bottles knocking shelves down in the fridge. A bottle ran over and hit my knee. I looked down and it was the bottle said on the paper. As my hands were shaking, I opened the bottle. They were large pills contained with a strange liquid. I dumped 3 pills on my hand and downed them. I usually don’t enjoy taking pills, but in a moment of extreme adrenaline, there is no hesitation.
I rolled over on my back as everything started to fade to black. “I wonder if this is it.” I thought as I fell into an empty abyss.
