Just as I start to have a breakdown, I hear someone call out my name. “Lizzy?” A rugged voice says. I shoot around in surprise just to see the person I least expected to find. Before me stands my father. Even through his thick beard and his destroyed clothes, I could recognize him from a mile away. I stare at him trying to think of something to say as he interrupts my train of thought, “Is that really you?” He says with a persistent tone. “Dad..?” I say as I break into tears. I stand up as he walks towards me preparing for a hug.
The urge to fall into his arms is strong, but I get this god awful feeling that goes against it. He steps right in front of me, causing me to step back. The feeling I had made me feel uneasy, I felt as if I can't trust him. “What's wrong..”  As he closed his arms.  I looked down at the ground as something caught my eye. His leg was gone..He now stood on something that seemed to be a prosthetic leg. “What happened to your leg..?” I said pointing at his limp leg.

“Did the infection do this?” I said as I fixed my posture.

"You know of the infection?” He said with surprise.

        “I do, I found a burning newspaper.”
