"Okay, let's move on to a cycle, give and go. And then we'll do some corner to half wall drills. And then we'll just let it rise." Alex told us.
"I think the last ones for baking." Nick told her. "But, uh, pretty good." Evan added.
"Evan Morrow!" I heard a voice yell, causing Evan to stop and make everyone fall. "Dad!" He yelled, skating over to him. He pulled Evan into a hug. I got up off the ice and watched in envy.

At school, I was sitting at a table with Logan, Sam, and Nick eating our lunch while Nick was showing us Maya's new tiktok.
"Is that the one she did with me?" Lauren asked, overhearing us. "Oh. No, not with you." Nick told her, showing her the video. "Where's mine?" She asked. "Um.. I don't see it here." He said. "Looks like your tiktok didn't make her feed." "What wouldn't she post our tiktok?" Lauren asked, confused.
"I think I know why. But I'm scared to say, for I am small and you have nunchucks." Nick stated. Lauren went over to Maya to talk. I stared at them, wondering what could be going on.

After school, we had a game against the Hawks. We were barely a second into the game when Evan got thrown into the box for cross checking. He was angry his dad didn't show up to the game like he had promised.
Since Evan wasn't playing his best, I had to step up. I got two goals leading up to four to two now, but we were still losing. Then something clicked in him, and he started playing better. I looked on the stand and saw his dad.
We ended up getting tied, four to four, with twenty seconds left on the clock. "Alright, guys. We score, we win. So, let's get out there and have fun and beat these guys!" Alex told everyone. "Okay, so let's do the double helix and bring this home!" Evan said.
"Not really feeling it." Maya responded.
"Yeah, me neither." Lauren added. They've been upset with each other since lunch. "Look, I don't know what's going on at school with your little clique fight. I've never been in a clique. Tried to start one once. Lot of nibbles, no bites." Nick said.
"But you two are magic together here on the ice. Monday, you two can go back to being embarrassed to be seen together, but right now, Evan's dad is here, and my buddy needs this win. So, ladies, top of the helix." His quick speech motivated them, and this led us to have our first win.

The next day at lunch, I was sitting in between Logan and Sam. "Oh, look." Nick said, making us all look over to Lauren.
"Whoa. Guys, check out Lauren." Sam told us. Lauren was wearing an outfit you'd normally see Maya in. Then I turned and saw Maya wearing something you'd expect to see Lauren in.
"Okay, in honor of our first win– big cookie on me. Who wants one?" Evan asked. We all said yes, and as he walked away, I saw Trevor walk up to him and tell him something. I ignored it, assuming it was just him trying to get in his head. I left it alone since Evan could hold his own.
