7. Breaking Point.

Y/n felt happy with the pure love she received from Sera and Jihoon, but she still felt something missing in her heart. She knew Taehyung didn't want a romantic relationship with her, but when he showed love to Sera and Jihoon, Y/n couldn't help but feel a little left out.

Y/n, a 25-year-old woman, had many hopes and dreams for her future partner. However, her profession as a child psychiatrist and pediatrician led her to make the decision to marry Taehyung for the sake of Sera and Jihoon. Despite her understanding nature and thoughtfulness, she is trying her best to suppress these emotions.

Yesterday night, when Taehyung brought the kids their favorite food and even snacks for the workers, Y/n couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope that he had brought something for her too. However, her hopes were dashed when Taehyung asked her to give the snacks to the workers instead.

Y/n felt a pang of disappointment, realizing that she had allowed herself to start hoping for something more, which she knew she shouldn't have done.

Taehyung held himself back from showing any love or kindness to Y/n because he didn't want to give her false hope or hurt her. But deep down, he also desired a romantic relationship with her. Today, Taehyung arrived home late from the office, and Y/n patiently waited for him. As he sat down, she served him dinner, hoping to bring him satisfaction with the warm meal.

Y/n, sitting across from him, asked, "How was your day?" Taehyung's eyes closed briefly, overwhelmed by painful memories from his past.

When he opened his eyes, he glared at Y/n and sternly muttered, "Don't overstep your boundaries." His deep voice filled Y/n with fear and a sense of insignificance. She immediately apologized and hastily retreated from the scene.

Feeling frustrated from hunger, exhaustion, and haunting memories, Taehyung hungrily consumed his meal, releasing his pent-up frustrations. Once finished, he left the dishes on the dining table, a departure from his usual responsible behavior. Without a word, he retreated to his room, leaving an air of unease behind.

Later that night, as Taehyung woke up thirsty and went to get some water, he noticed Y/n in the kitchen, washing the dishes. To his surprise, he realized that she was washing his dishes. His gaze then shifted to a plate of food she had kept in the fridge, untouched. The sight of her sad expression made him feel a pang of guilt, realizing that she had not eaten either.

Taehyung returned to his room with the intention of apologizing to Y/n as soon as she entered. However, his attention was immediately diverted by the sound of Sera's cries.

Worried, he hurried to her room, only to find the bed empty. Following the sound of gentle whispers, he quietly approached the hall and peered in to witness Y/n holding little Sera close to her chest, comforting her with tender care.

Y/n gently rubbed Sera's back and whispered sweetly into the baby's ears, paying close attention to her babbling. Sera responded with her own adorable baby language, and Y/n listened attentively, fully engaged in their precious interaction.

Unaware of Taehyung's presence, Y/n continued to hum a soothing tune to lull Sera to sleep as she walked towards their room. Little did she know that Taehyung had been observing the heartwarming scene and felt a deep sense of remorse for his previous behavior.
