The wave of anger suddenly flooded me.

I looked down at my hand and saw that I was squeezing, or rather, crushing my pen.

I exhaled and dropped the pen and then proceeded to the water dispenser.

"Ash are you okay?"

"Me?" I drank the water in one gulp. "I am. Do I look like I'm not okay?" I said in a rasp voice as I disposed the cup

"You've been acting weird all morning. Are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm okay." I gave a her a fake smile.

I could tell she didn't believe me but she didn't push it.

"Mr Jacobs was happy with the turnout of the event on Saturday."

"Yeah, yeah" I said absentmindedly.

"Ashley, I get it if you don't want to tell me what's going on but I need you to focus." She said while rubbing her forehead.

Get it together.

You can't let Jayden ruin your life again.

I took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry Diana. I'll pay attention now."

"I did the research about the girl and the company." He said handing me a file.

I opened the file and found a picture of Ashley in a suit.
