I think there's something wrong with me.

One minute I was practicing with the team for our next game and then all of a sudden I was parked next to DXD.

Why was I here? For some reason, a girl with purple hair was dry texting me so I am here to find out why.

I think.

I stepped out of the car making sure my face mask and hat was in place.

Normally I wouldn't be wearing this shit but I was supposed to be laying low after the scandal that West committed.

As soon as I went in I hastily too the mask off.

"You again?"

I turned to the person who made the comment.

"Ayyy, shit." Poppy rubbed her forehead. "That came out all wrong. I'm just surprised to see you here."

"Right. Sorry." I replied while looking around to find the shop.... empty?

No Yuri? The boys weren't here and definitely no T....

"So any specific reason you're here?" She asked with a knowing smile. "Oh wait, you're here for Tessa?"

I chuckled. "I'm guessing she isn't here."

"Hasn't been for a week."

"What?"

"She called in sick a few days ago, sounded horrible over the phone. Yuri told take her time and get better. And we haven't heard from her since."

"Have you guys tried calling her?"

"Of course we did. The calls mostly end up in voicemail. And our text gets dry replies."

"Same goes for me ."

"Yikes. This is bad then."

"Any ideas on how to get her here?"

She sighed. "I didn't want to have to do this but she forced me."

37 minutes later

"Elijah you son of a ....." A very unkempt Tessa walked into the store.

She walked in with a pair of denim shorts, a top I couldn't see clearly and a huge robe covering her whole body.

Her hair was a disaster and yet somehow she still managed to look like a hot mess.

"Wait." She paused and looked around. "Where's Elijah?"

"Not here." Poppy replied casually

"Then why the hell did you send me a text that Elijah was trying to set the place ablaze because of an experiment he saw on YouTube."

"Why did you believe me?"

"Because..." She dragged. "That's clearly something, Elijah is capable of."

"Well at least it got you here."

She gave Poppy a glare. "Well, considering the fact that Elijah isn't her, I'll just go back to my beauty coma." She tried walking off

I instantly went to hold her back. "Don't you think you've had enough of those?"

"Lemme think.....No." She pulled out of my grip and strutted out of the door.

And as the nosy person that I am, I followed her.

"Tess wait." Obviously she ignored me but she of all people should now that I'm persistent.
