Yeji POV

She didn't recognize me...
For days, I went to her workplace, wearing a cap and a mask, yet she still didn't recognize me.

Now, after I revealed myself and we spoke, I was disappointed once again. She was in a relationship...
It seemed like they were even living together.

Sighing, I sat on the couch in my house. I had been living alone for a few years now.
My dogs were finally back with me, but right now, they didn't care about me. Both of them were sleeping.

Ryujin, who made herself at home in my place, came to me with a steaming plate of cup noodles. She handed it to me. "Why do you have so many cup noodles in your pantry?" she asked, looking at me with curiosity.

I just sighed. My shoulders drooped sadly as my eyes wandered to the television. I placed the steaming plate on the table in front of me.

"I met y/n again," I said, and almost immediately, I heard Ryujin gasp in shock. My head turned to Ryujin, and she was looking at me with wide eyes.

Curious, I furrowed my brow and looked at her for a while. Ryujin sat down next to me, her lips pressed together. "And? Did you... talk to her?" the younger girl asked, leaning back and turning her body slightly towards me.

"We talked," I began, still facing forward as my eyes thoughtlessly stared at the steaming plate of noodles. "But somehow, not really," I finished my sentence with a sigh. Ryujin nodded a bit and continued to look at me, her lips pressed together in concern.

I took a deep breath. My elbows rested on my knees as I leaned forward, just above the steaming plate. The chopsticks were already in my hand. "I... couldn't believe it was her at first," I said as I stirred the noodles. I blew the steam away before continuing, "But... the more I went there... I just wanted to see her and talk to her," I said with another sigh. My movements stopped for a moment. "Now... I know it was a mistake... She has moved on... She's in a relationship," I finished my sentence and took some noodles into my mouth.

Ryujin paused. She looked at me with wide eyes. "Well... it has been 5 years after all," Ryujin said softly as she continued to observe me. She bit her lip. "But... how is she? How did you meet her?" Ryujin asked, unable to contain her curiosity any longer.

I looked at the younger girl, a small smile on my lips. "I met her at 7/11... She works there. And... she is even more beautiful than before," I said, almost breathlessly. A small laugh escaped my throat in a deep tone.
God... it tears me apart...

"Was she still wearing the ring?" Ryujin asked, her jaw tense. She really hoped that she was still wearing the ring. The ring... that sealed our promise. My eyes wandered to my own ring that I still wore. Even though she left me without a word... "No," I said monotonously.

Y/N POV

My eyes widened as I looked at the person in front of me. I couldn't help but laugh and shake my head. "That spread pretty quickly," I said. Wordlessly, I went to the refrigerator. "A beer for you?" I asked, taking two cans in my hand.

Ryujin, standing in front of me with a light blue cap, just stared at me. Her face filled with different emotions. Her eyes slightly larger than before, probably from the shock of seeing me again.

I handed her one of the cans and sat back behind the counter. I gestured to the chair next to me. "Take a seat... You probably have questions," I said, chuckling. Since meeting Yeji, I had already prepared myself to meet the others.

Ryujin moved as if in a trance. She opened the beer, and the fizzing sound was loud and clear. It remained quiet between us. She clung to the beer as if her life depended on it, her eyes always fixed on me.
