Chapter 7

Kyla's POV

He leaned in and gently kissed me. I was shocked and at first I didn't know what was happening, but somehow I managed to kiss him back. As quick as it happened, it was over. I looked up at him.

"I had an amazing time. I'll see you later Kyla." Luke said and started to walk to his car. I went inside the house. I got ready for bed, I was exhausted. I kept replaying the date in my head. The part I played most was the kiss. The kiss was gentle and the coolness of his lip ring made it better. With that replaying in my mind, I fell asleep.

It's been a week and a half since my date with Luke. We've been talking, texting and hanging out a lot since then. We haven't been on anymore dates. Sometimes it would be all of us hanging out. Luke, Michael, Ashton, Calum and I. Then sometimes it was only me and Luke. After school today I had to work. One of the other employees said I had a table waiting. I grabbed menus and started walking when I seen it was them. They were all talking and I walked up to them.

"Hey guys." I said and smiled.

"Hey Kyla." They all said back.

"So I guess I'm your waiter for today."

"Well, aren't we lucky?" Luke said with a smirk.

"I guess so." I said looking at him. Then I looked at the rest of them. "Now, what can I get ya?" I got their orders and brought it to them. Once they were done, I went to grab their plates. As I walked to the table they sat at, they passed me and said bye. Luke was the last one and stopped me.

"Bye Ky." Luke said. He's the only one who calls me Ky. Everyone else just said Kyla. I was fine with him calling me that. I liked it. Whenever he said it, it just sounded special. Like it was only our thing. "I'll see you later tonight." With that he left. Tonight me and Luke were hanging out again. I didn't know if the rest of the guys were also going to be there. I'd be fine if they were. Besides all me and Luke do when it's only us is watch movies and or talk.

Luke's POV

Kyla should be here soon and the guys are leaving to go some place for dinner. They are also leaving to give me and Kyla privacy.

"Well we're leaving. Good luck telling and asking Kyla tonight. We'll be back later." Ashton said. He could tell that I was nervous. "Don't worry. I'm sure everything is going to be fine." They said bye and left. Half an hour later Kyla was here.

We cooked and ate dinner then we went to the couch and picked a movie to watch. We decided to watch The Avengers. I looked at her half way through the movie. I wasn't even focusing on the movie. I decided right now would be the best time to tell and ask her.

"Ky?" I asked. She looked over at me and didn't say anything. I took that as a sign she wanted me to continue. "Kyla. You know how I told you I'm leaving soon?" I waited for a response but she didn't give me one. I have no idea if her silence is bad or not, but I continued. "Well tomorrow is my last day here..." All she did was look at me.

"Oh." She said. She looked down at her hands and when I thought she wasn't going to speak again, she did. "Well, I had a fun time hanging out and getting to know you. All of you." She said referring to the other guys.

"Kyla." I said lifting her chin up so she would look at me. I still had to ask her. "Ky. Just cause I'm leaving doesn't mean I'm going to forget you. I don't want to. I was kind of hoping though that maybe you would like to be my girlfriend?" I waited for a reply but all she did was look at me. This wasn't going how I imagined. " I mean, I understand if you don't want to. Also because I'm leaving which will make things more difficult and.." Before I could continue Kyla kissed me. This was our second kiss. I never kissed her after our date. I was too scared to. She pulled back.

"I would love to be your girlfriend Luke." She said smiling. I smiled back and kissed her again. This night went better than expected.
