{Collin's P.O.V}

I Woke up looking at the bottom of the bunk above me. It reminded me of being at the prison... Home... No. I shook my head. The prison's gone, it's not your home anymore. Madi's gone. They're all gone. Move on man. The thoughts when through my mind. I sat up. Rubbing my eyes, looking around the room, and adjusting to the bright sunlight flowing into the room. I knocked on the bunk above me, waking up Isaac. "What." He groaned. "Get up, we gotta go meet Daryl and Carol, they might already be up, she told me she'd unlock the door when she was awake. He nodded and climbed down, trying his best to get the knots out of his hair with his fingers. I looked in the small mirror. I looked like I hadn't slept in days. I hadn't. This was the first time I got a good nights sleep in a while, I still have a lot of catching up when it comes to sleep. Isaac opened the door, and walked into the hallway, with me following. We turned the knob on the door, and it opened. Tony, Tanner, Daryl, and Carol were all on the floor, it looks like they were starting a plan. "Sorry, I slept in, I haven't slept in days." I mumbled. "Neither have most of us." Tony pointed out. I shrugged in agreement. "so, what's the plan?" I asked, sitting down in between Tony, and Isaac. "Well, this city isn't safe, and like I said last night, they must be holed-up in the city somewhere, or they would've gone around it. The city is big. They could be anywhere." Carol started. "Maybe, a hospital or something." I added. "Carol, do you know any places around here? You seem to have.. uh.. spent a lot of time around here." Daryl asked. She shrugged. "It's a big city, Daryl, there's lots of big buildings." She said with a nod. I sighed.

This was gonna be harder than we thought.

*

We went out to explore. We're in a building, and we split up. Each group had a watch and we were to meet at a certain place at a certain time. There was two groups. Me, Isaac, and Tony, and Tanner went with Daryl, and Carol. After we all finished our "rounds", we all met up in the building lobby. "We saw a truck, leaning off the edge of w bridge. It could give us clues." Carol said, walking over to us, with

Tanner and Daryl trailing closely behind her. "Ok. Wait. How's a truck going to help us? Especially when it's hanging off of the edge. It's not like we could use it." Tony asked. "There's a name on it. Initials to some company. It could be the name of the place they're staying, there can't be that many people here." Daryl said. I nodded. "Let's go?" Carol nodded, "Let's go."

We slipped our way through doorways that barely opened to get out. It was quite a walk to that bridge, but, we could find Beth. I knew the group needed her. She was a source of hope. A light in a tunnel of darkness.

(I skipped the Noah part, he'll still be in it, don't worry.)

On the bridge we stepped around cars, and dead bodies, some of which had gun shot wounds and stab wounds in their heads. Someone had defiantly been here before. Carol climbed into the van.

That's when all the walkers came.

They all just came out of no where from both sides of the bridge. "Get in." Carol instructed. We all climbed in the poorly balanced van, Daryl shut the doors and jumped into the drivers seat and Carol jumped into the passenger's. "Hold on." He said un-surely. "W-wait what?!" I yelped.

Too late.

We were already plummeting off the edge of the bridge.

I blacked out.

£

"GMH. Huh, I wonder.."

"GHM.... Grady Memorial Hospital, maybe that's what it is. Has the same cross symbol."

"You know where it is?"

"Yeah, Collin should wake up soon. As soon as he does, we'll go."

"Well we can't wait forever, what if it takes him to long?"

"Well, we'll have to find a way to get him up."

That was Carol.

I forced my eyes open.

"W-what-wher- how?" I sputtered.

Daryl sighed, and opened his mouth to speak.

Carol spoke for him. "You blacked out right before we hit the ground. We carried you for a little, but you're up now, c'mon, we have a guy with us, his name's Noah. Says he knows Beth, and where she is." I nodded, taking it all in. We're in a building, near an exit. "We have to go," 'Noah' starts. "Th-they can't find me. I-I can't go back." I stood, up, with the help of Tony, who grabbed my hand and pulled me up. "Let's go." Carol stated blankly. I saw Noah hesitate, but then begin to follow with the rest of us. She ran out into the street- in an attempt to cross it. Unfortunately, she didn't look both ways. It's crazy, you wouldn't think that rule would much apply anymore. But, try telling that to Carol, who was being put on a stretcher, and into the back of a car. Carol. She was hit. By a car. It had a cross on it. Just like the one from... What was it? Grady Memorial? Daryl tried to run after the car, but Noah stopped him. "No, they'll help take care of her. We'll get her back, don't worry, she's safe there, for now." He said, trying to calm Daryl.

"Collin? Daryl? Wait, was that Carol that.. just..." We spun around. I sighed in relief. "Riley..." I breathed. "Who's that... and why are you.. here?"

A/N sorry it's short, I was trying to make it V long, but the next chapter might be longer bc you know a lot happens. I might slow down the updates a little, because once I get caught up (Which I am close to doing so) I'll have to wait to see what happens when TWD comes back in October, so I can mix in my own plot. Also when FTWD comes out imam try to make a series off that. I'm also coming out with a third book, probably being called "Broken" I'll add the description in the next chapter. Okee bye little whales, ily! (I feel like there's something i'm forgetting... eh i'll just add it next chapter :P)
