Chapter 5

It's been a little since then.
"Run.." I whispered, "what?" Instead of responding, I turned and ran, leaving them to figure it out themselves. I found Beth, carol, Patricia, and Lori, calling for Hershel. Otis died, getting me and Carl supplies so we could live, and I still feel terrible. I went up to Hershel, "Hershel c'mon, we can't stay here anymore!" He kept shooting, and finally responded, "No! It's my farm, I'll die here!" I felt a tear on my cheek. "Hershel, your not going to die, I'm not gonna let you lets go!" I heard a gun shot behind me, hershel and I turned around. Rick shot a walker coming up behind us, I mouthed "thank you" at Rick, and he nodded in return. I saw Lori and beth and Patricia, had left, only to see Patricia's lifeless body on the ground, being eaten by walkers. "No! Patricia!" I started screaming, me and her had become close, but, no she's dead. They had to drag me to a red truck. I started to cry harder, and looked out the back window as we drove away, my mind still processing, the people on the cars shooting, shooting from inside them, the blood, lifeless bodies of people I once knew. I stopped crying. I was mad now. Mad at he world. Mad at those... Things... I wanted to scream so badly.

*Carl's Pov* (idk about povs but whatever 😂)

Riley looked really sad, she just sat staring out the back window for like half the ride, crying. But she stopped crying, her expression narrowed, and, um. Now she looks like she's gonna kill someone. Her head shot up, making me and Hershel jump. "Ever! We forgot Ever! How could we forget Ever!" She started yelling. Hershel eventually calmed her down.

*still Carl's pov*

When we pulled up on the highway (my dads idea) to wait to see if everyone else would come, Riley just laid there, she didn't get out of the car with the rest of us. After a while I started to argue with my dad about how we couldn't just sit here, but we had to go find mom. "Carl, that's enough, we can't go back there's nothing to go back to!" He didn't not just say that, "there's mom!" I yelled "no, there's nothing there there's no way she's there!" He yelled back. I opened my mouth to yell back, but u was interrupted, "he's right- Carl- I saw Lori going to a car with Beth, and carol but it was just Beth and her, by the time they got to the car. They're with t-dog, theyre safe, we can find them soon, but we can't go back to the house. And no, carol isn't dead, Andrea saved her, she just got split up." Wow, she saw more than I thought she did. I sighed. "Whatever." A motor cycle engine sounded, and we turned to see a motor cycle, and a few cars trailing behind it, we all smiled because we knew exactly who it was..

"EEVVERRR!" Riley practically screamed. She ran up and hugged her. I ran to my mom and didn't let go of her for a few minutes.

After the reunions, we went over who we still had left.
"Shane?" Lori asked.
"He's dead" my dad answered bluntly
"Andrea?" Someone else said
"I saw her go down."
Lori said
"She's not dead, she's not that weak." We all looked over at Riley a little surprised. "What... You guys need to learn how to have hope in people, no matter how bad it Is out here, Andrea's strong, I knows she's not dead, she's still out there." Her face not changing expressions. My dad sighed,
"What about jimmy?" Beth asked.
"He was in the RV. It got over run" My dad answered.
"And Patricia?" Maggie stepped in.
"She's- she's- she's gone." Beth said, obviously holding back tears. My dad decided to take, sort of a roll, since non of us were quite sure.
"Say here if I say your name, please."
"Daryl"
"Here"
"Andr-"
"Riley"
"Here"
"Ever"
"Here"
And he just went down the line. Stuttering when he almost said one of the dead ones names. That's when Riley's head jolted up, from looking at the ground. "What's wrong." Ever asked. Almost scared, she made all of us jump. "Dale."

So what do you think happened to dale. Note, I don't always kill characters off when they're supposed to be off so, 😂
