It was a normal winter day, though a rather boring one. Tatiana had just finished her infirmary shift and was lounging in the Apollo cabin aimlessly during her downtime.
That was until Silena slammed the door open and strode inside hurriedly, "Michael, Lee get out," she demanded, looking towards Tatiana's little brother and older brother who were currently the only other people in cabin seven.
"Dude, what the fuck," Michael scowled at her.
"Language," Lee scolded instantly, shooting Michael an annoyed look.
His brother gave him a deadpan stare, "you're one to talk, you swear all the time."
"That's different, I'm fourteen, you're only eleven," he scoffed, earning him an annoyed huff from Michael.
"Whatever. Selina, we're not leaving. This is my cabin, not yours," Michael said, returning his attention to the Aphrodite girl at the door.
She crossed her arms, turning to give Tatiana a pointed, wide-eyed look. She knew that look, she had something she was dying to talk to her about. Tatiana sighed, she clearly didn't want Michael around to hear whatever she wanted to say either. And Tatiana couldn't really blame her for that, gossip spread quickly at camp, and Michael wasn't known for keeping secrets to himself.
"Mikey, Le, can you just give us a little bit of time alone," she asked.
Her brother glared at him, "don't call me Mikey. It's just Michael, not Mike, and certainly not Mikey."
Tatiana rolled his eyes, when Michael had first come to camp he'd been given the nickname Mikey by one of their older siblings, and it became what everyone in cabin seven called him. But around a year ago he decided he was a big kid now, and Mikey was too childish of a nickname. Now he insisted they call him Michael or he started whining and complaining.
"Fine. Michael, Lee, can you give me and Selina a minute please," she corrected, keeping the annoyance out of his voice to the best of his ability.
"Why!" Her brother whined. He knew there was something Selina wanted to tell him in private, and he was obviously very upset about not being included. As much as Tatiana loved his little brother and would say without a doubt that Michael is his favorite sibling, he could be such a brat sometimes.
"I'll just leave now." Lee walked past.
"Michael," Tatiana said in a strained voice, "I will drag you out of here and dump you with Matthias if you don't leave of your own free will in the next minute."
His brother raised an eyebrow, "so? Is that supposed to scare me, our brother won't care about our dumb argument."
Tatiana smirked, "no, but he's on babysitting duty with all the younger campers right now. So unless you want to get wrangled into a few hours of having eight year olds pestering you nonstop, then you'll give me and Selina a few minutes alone."
That certainly seemed to get her brother's attention, he grimaced at the prospect and reluctantly stood from his bed, "fine," he practically forced out through clenched teeth.
Tatiana grinned as he stalked towards the door, "thanks little bro, love you!" He called to Michael's retreating form. His brother's only response was to give him the middle finger that Lee would have certainly scolded him for if he wasn't already gone off.
The moment the door had swung shut behind Michael, Selina was collapsing beside Tatiana on his bed, sighing as she half leaned against her.
Tatiana snorted at the dramatics, "alright what happened now Lena," she laughed.
