The Roundtable knights were all gathered in the library, mourning the death of Arthur. Lancelot still held a look of shock at the transpired events, leaning against a bookshelf and gazing into the fireplace. Morgan sat beside a window, watching the first snow fall of the window as she dealt with her brother's death. Mordred sat on the floor against the wall, head bent down as she tried to process her uncle's demise. Merlin was floating in the air, legs crossed with her eyes closed.

But no one was hurting more than Arthur's foster brother, Kay.

"DAMN IT!" Kay cried out as he slammed his fist down on the table, tears rolling down his face. He began to hit the table again without stopping. "DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DAMN IT!!! SOMEONE POISONED HIM, I KNOW IT! ONE KF THESE FUCKING BASTARDS MURDERED HIM RIGHT WHEN HE GOT THE THRONE! I'LL KILL THEM! I'LL FIND THE BASTARDS AND KILL ALL OF THEM!!!!!"

"Calm down son...." Ector spoke softly as he placed a hand on his son's shoulder. Tears were forming on the old man's face as he struggled to fight against the sadness. "...Revenge won't bring him back."

"No....." Kay sobbed as he wiped his nose of any snot before turning to his father. "But it'll feel damn good....If only I could have..."

"There's no need for 'if's' Ser Kay." Morgan spoke without looking at them. "It was poison, something you couldn't see nor fight against with a sword."

"Indeed..." Merlin spoke emotionlessly. "The poison was something that slipped by my senses. This was something that not even I could detect."

Kay clenched his hand into a fist. He wanted something—someone to pay. Arthur was his little brother, someone he vowed to protect when Ector showed him the young baby wrapped in blankets. But now his little brother was dead, taken by someone who couldn't stand to see Arthur sitting upon the throne. His anger rose upon hearing the door open.

"WHAT DID I SAY?!" Kay shouted, pushing himself up before turning around. "I SAID WE DON'T WISH TO BE DISTURBED—!"

Kay stopped his rant, choking on his words as he and the others stared in shock.

Arthur stood in the doorway, alive. His hair kept in the usual bun atop his head. His clothes had zero wrinkles on it. His face wasn't deadly pale like before, his emerald eyes shined brightly as he gave a smile that shined like the purest diamond. Behind him stood Guts, who the knights noticed was missing during Arthur's death.

"ARTHUR!" Kay shouted as he and the other knight ran towards the king. Kay fell to his knees and buried his face into Arthur's stomach as he cried, wrapping his arms around Arthur's legs.

"I don't believe it..." Lancelot spoke, stunned as he and the other knights surrounded Arthur in shock.

"B-but you were dead!" Mordred shouted.

"Indeed." Morgan spoke, shocked herself upon Arthur's revival. "I could have sworn you were..."

"He was." Merlin said, a small smile forming on her face. "My,my, you somehow tricked me my dear student. Being able to trick my senses like that."

"It wasn't intentional." Arthur smiled as he lied. He placed a hand on Kay's head and softly patted him. Arthur reached for Caliburn and unclipped it from his belt. "It seems, however, Caliburn has more secrets than I do. It was able to keep my life force on the edge of death. I remained there as the magic purged the poison from my body." Arthur than looked down at Kay, who had stained his suit with his tears. "I didn't mean to scare you Kay."
