Six weeks later......————————————
"YAY! YOUR DOING THE TRIALS!"
Erica had shouted with glee as she looked up at Guts, stars forming in her eyes as he began strapping his armor on. Well, barely considered armor since it was only a breastplate.
It's been six weeks time, allowing his ribs to heal before Scáthach began training the students.
"Yeah, thought I'd try my hand at it." Guts chuckled at the seven year old. He picked up the jacket he wore before, the hole made by Scáthach had been repaired by Erica, along with his pants. As he put it on over the breastplate he looked down at the little girl and smiled. "Thanks for fixing my stuff, especially the jacket. A close friend made it for me."
"Of course!" Erica smiled as Guts put his jacket on before taking his, torn, cloak and clipping it into place. They both walked out of his room and towards the main room. "He's ready!"
"Hm." Godo huffed from behind the anvil, setting aside his hammer. Godo picked up Guts's sword from the anvil and handed it to him. "You were busy resting to notice, but Scáthach did some damage too your blade. I repaired it, considering your going through the trials."
"Thanks Godo." Godo grunted as Guts took the blade. He sheathed the sword onto his back. Looking around the room for Scáthach, he noticed the bags of potatoes and seeds stacked up along with other bags. "Are you guys going somewhere?"
"We're going with you Guts!" Erica jumped up and down as she answered him. Guts watched with curiosity as she began skipping around him. "We always go with Scáthach whenever she trains new students!"
"I thought we trained here?" Guts asked as he looked back towards Godo.
"No. The students gather elsewhere." Godo answered as he grabbed a bucket of water and splashed it onto the coals of the forge, putting out the flames. "We'll make way to Dunscaith and the trials are conducted there. Me and Erica attend to staffing the building where everyone will be residing."
"Huh...." Guts nodded as Godo walked past him and started picking up some luggage. Erica did so too, fallowing her grandfather's actions. "Need any help?"
"No I can carry it all." Godo spoke as he picked up the last bag. "Let's head outside. Scáthach will be waiting for us."
Guts watched as Godo walked past him and out the door. Erica followed behind, holding the bag of seeds. Guts walked out behind them, closing the door as he exited the cabin. He looked around, not seeing the outside world in six weeks during his recovery. It took some time but his eyes adjusted to the sunlight allowing him to see the hilly landscape covered by a thin blanket of snow. He followed Godo as he walked towards Scáthach, who stood down the path, waiting for them.
"Ah, so your ready?" She asked as the three approached, smiling at Guts.
"Yep. We got our things." Godo grunted as he stood beside Scáthach, placing a free hand on her shoulder. Erica smiled at Scáthach and the woman smiled back as the little girl grabbed her hand.
"So, how long is it gonna take to go to Dunscaith?" Guts asked the woman. She smiled, Erica giggled, and Godo grunted.
"If you head straight, you'll come across a castle. I hope you arrive on time.....it'll suck for you to be stuck in the winter."
"BYE GUTS!" Erica shouted as a red light came off the ground. Looking down, Guts's eyes widened as magical glyphs appeared underneath the three.
"WAIT! YOU DIDN'T TELL ME—!"
In the blink of an eye they were gone. Guts sighed before walking forward.
End.
Rough, I know. I'm doing my best.
Some things might get "out of cannon" as Scáthach has children.
Criticism is welcome. By!
