"Awww, why so serious Ser Guts?"Guts bared his teeth at the woman looking down at him. He could feel Artoria shaking as she held onto him. Guts quietly growled, before turning to Ector.
"Take her." He told him. Ector sheathed his sword and took Artoria back into his arms. As she was passed back to Ector, Artoria began reaching out to Guts in a panic, grunting as she did so. Guts took his sword that leaned against the wall and glared at Morgan. "....don't worry Artoria......I won't let her have you."
"Oh my, dearest sister are you scared of me? No........horrified." Morgan laughed to herself, her face still obscured by the black veil she wore. Her eyes danced back to Guts, licking her lips before smiling. "It seems I'll be able to take everything from you now sister....."
"Mordred......leave with the others." Guts growled as he got into his combat stance, not bothering to whisper. "I'll hold her off."
"W—what?" Mordred asked as she kept and eye on her mother. She dared turn back to look him in the eye. "No—Guts we're not going to leave you."
"You're the leader Mordred." Guts spoke to her as he maintained eye contact with Morgan. "I'm a merc, remember? I'm doing my job by helping you escape....If Artoria isn't saved this whole plan was for nothing."
"Listen to him, offshoot." Morgan giggled, making Kay and Lancelot tighten their grip on their swords. Mordred looked back at her mother, who looked towards Artoria with a smile. "I'll let you run and try to escape......before I track you down."
"..........fine." Mordred spoke before waving towards the others. They slowly nodded while still looking at Morgan. Mordred and the others walked to the other side of the room slowly towards the coffin they arrived in. Morgan looked down at Artoria and winked. Ector hopped in followed by Mordred who left as the rear guard.
Morgan's attention turned back to the only other person in the room who glared at her with murderous intent. She slowly floated down to the ground, her heels making a click as she touched the stone floor.
"Anger suits you..." Morgan said as she observed Guts. His stance not changing at all as he stared her down. She knew what he was doing. "Its odd though, you looking at me like this. I remembered when you looked at me with admiration but all I see now is........hate, a need to draw blood, my blood."
"I'm going to kill you."
It was quick and simple, but the bluntness of the statement made Morgan tilt her head as she stared at the still man. She could feel the rage coming off his person, it was somewhat intoxicating.
"So that's it?" Morgan asked with a smile. With a flick of her left hand, an orb of dark magical energy appeared. "Very well I encourage you to try.....however....."
Guts watched as Morgan steadied herself, tapping her staff against floor. The black veil over her face parted, revealing a part of Morgan's face to him. A deathly look on her face, something he had never seen. But he did not care, Morgan was going to die.
