Guts raced through the forest atop his horse. As Merlin requested, he left her and Lancelot by the lake with the wagon. Excalibur was strapped to his waist. The scabbard was sharp as a blade and nearly led to Guts cutting himself. He bared his teeth as his grip tightened on the reigns.

'This thing will heal her....' Guts told himself. 'Your going to let it heal her and give it back to the lady...'

He convinced himself that what he was doing was right. Who wouldn't try to save their friend? But this was Excalibur, and from what the Lady told him, it was a sacred and well kept secret amongst her people.......but if this was anyone's fault it was Merlin's. She made him believe this could save Artoria, but she couldn't have possibly known the Lady of the Lake's answer, could she?

'No.....don't think about it....' Guts thought to himself. 'You said you'd take it back, so keep your word! Unlike the times you promised to kill Morgan, you can do this at the least!........for Artoria.'

He could see the camp ahead of him now. Not much longer then he'd be able to heal Artoria. He approached the outskirts of the camp, passing by some perimeter guards.

"ITS THE COMMANDER!" Gaston shouted as he and the others ran towards Guts. The man hopped off his horse and was surrounded by his men. "Commander, are you okay?"

"Yeah, your sweating up a storm." Kay told him, noticing his wet face and clothes. "Where's Merlin and Lancelot? They should be with you."

"They're fine." Guts told them as he looked around the group. His eyes filled with worry. "How's—?!"

"She's fine."

Guts looked forward and watched as Mordred walked up to him, the soldiers parting way for her. The blonde looked up at him, not with the look of joy, but one of irritation. He took a step back before Mordred grabbed his ear with her gauntlet hand, the tips threatening to pierce his ear.

"OW! WHAT THE—?!"

"Everyone return to your posts!" Mordred shouted as she dragged Guts behind her, the big man grunting as he was forced to follow her. Gaston and the others only watched as the strongest man they knew get dragged away by a woman smaller than him.

"Ow! What's your deal?"

Guts asked as they came to a stop, away from prying eyes. He couldn't afford to wait anymore, Artoria needed him. Otherwise, saving her meant nothing. Just as he looked Mordred in the eyes the woman punched him in the stomach, making him gasp before she pushed him against a tree.

"My problem?! What's wrong with you?!?!" Mordred shouted as she glared into his eyes. "I get a message from Merlin saying you stole from a fae! Do you have any idea what they can do?! You're lucky the Fae you just attacked was a pacifist, otherwise she would've worn had a new scarf made from your skin!"

"I—I....." Guts struggled to regain his breath. Mordred had never hit him that hard before.

"You what?! I'll tell you what Guts," Mordred bared her teeth at him, Guts's eyes widened upon hearing a growl coming out of Mordred. "You've been acting odd ever since the escape from Camelot! Something you wanna tell me?!"

"N........yes." Guts sighed. Mordred let go of him, backings away to him space.

"Than what is it?" She asked as she crossed her arms.
