chapter 15: what a unique man

summary: takes place before my fanmade case "dance till you're dead", we see what happens before yann was murdered.

marcus was wondering what freddie saw in yann, the man was just so....different from everyone else, something about yann was different about everyone else in the dancing parade, the way he moved his body as he danced, it was amazing, of course he would never admit to that, he did have standards after all.

but yann......That man was amazing.

He was kind and also helped everyone when they needed it.

he even saw yann helping ember with her dance moves

marcus:'thinks'Even though he's in his 40s he is still so talented, How is he able to do it so well? He must have practice for a long time, i'm surprised his body is able to handle it, He is a bit chubby after.

freddie: hey marcus.

marcus: hey freddie.

freddie: How are you enjoying everything so far? I told you that the dancers are very talented, This is going to make jazz town look real good.

marcus: Trust me, i can tell.

freddie: Each dancer is talented in their own way, especially yann.

marcus looks at freddie, who sighs dreamily as he looks at the earth dancer.

yann was in his costume right now, he was most likely practicing in it to make sure it fit very well and to see if it needed any changes.

marcus:'thinks' he is very organized and is thinking through it, it is a good idea to make sure the costume fits him well, because if it doesn't then the dance will be ruined, wait, did i just compliment him? no, There's no way I just complimented a man, sure, He is good looking and nice, But he is still a man.

yann:'walks over'hey freddie.

freddie: hey yann, meet marcus.

yann:'holds his hand out to marcus and smiles'it's nice to meet you, i hope you're having a wonderful time here.

marcus:'shakes his hand'i am having a wonderful time here, i'm just surprised that there are so many talented people here.

yann: well we have been practicing for a while, so it's only natural that we're getting better, Especially since we've been making sure that our costumes fit as well, And that we're also happy in them, because-

ember:'appears'If we don't feel the passion in our costumes, We won't be able to show it to anyone, our talents will be restricted away from the world.

marcus: That sure is an interesting way to word it.

yann: ember is right though.

ember: ya! Fire is my passion and I want to show it!

marcus: i'm sure you do.

ember: i'm going to use real fire for my show!

yann: don't worry, i'm making sure that ember uses the right materials so the fire doesn't get out of hand, as long as the correct ways to move it so she doesn't set her float on fire and get herself killed.

ember: at least the fire is taking me with them.

yann: do you even realize how concerning that sounds?

ember: no?

yann facepalms, then he chuckles and smiles'

yann: come on ember, let's go back to practicing, i need to make sure my costume is fully working and prepared for the parade.

he runs off, the costume design and the way it moved was amazing.

marcus:'blushes a bit'

then he walks away, trying to get his mind off of yann, he couldn't have fallen in love with a man!

yann was a man, a married man to be exact, he had a wife and 2 kids.

marcus:'thinks'stupid yann, he is trying to trick me! but how? how could a man so handsome be so dangerous?! i know he's dangerous, i just know it! freddie told me he liked voodoo, he must have placed a curse on me! oh no, if he finds out my last name, he'll curse me if i do something wrong! i'm doomed! I'M DOOMED!!!!

he remembers seeing the bracelets and necklace on yann.

marcus:'thinks'he is a voodoo person! a monster!

then marcus looked at the fertilizer, he had gotten it from freddie since he liked to garden, it was peaceful and didn't involve any awful magic, just pure science.

that's how he liked it.

things to evolve on their own, without this "magic" nonsense.

he let god handle the creations he created.

and destroy the creations that were wrong, like LGBTQ people for example, liking the same gender was wrong! men are supposed to like women, while women were supposed to like men! it's just how the circle of life goes! it's how their population stays alive!

but....yann seemed so kind, plus he knew what to do, he was also talented as well and very handsome.

marcus:'thinks'stop! stop thinking of these awful things! you like women! not men! beautiful, sexy, WOMEN!

he sits down as he looks at the fertilizer again.

then he smirks, getting an idea as he grins evilly.

He knew what to do that would solve his problem.

He knew how to get rid of the off curse the earth dancer gave him, even though they have just met, voodoo masters like yann always want to ruin someone's lives.

marcus: i'm going to kill him, once I kill him, i will become free from these feelings and love women again, i'm sorry freddie, but i have to do this, for our sake, I know you also like him as well, I can see the look in your eyes every time you look at him, But I will free us from his awful curse, I just need to warn the others first, I must protect them and convince them to help me, Of course I can't tell them that I'm going to kill him, But if it leads to that, Then I have no choice but to end his life.

then he picks up the bag of fertilizer and the small shovel before walking away.

He had decided to get some chili before he started his planning.

he couldn't work on an empty stomach after all.

besides, he knew a great place that sold wonderful chili that would taste amazing, but as he went there, he noticed someone.

yann, he was also eating some chili as well.

he was wearing his normal clothes, he was most likely on a break and to make sure his costume wouldn't get ruined.

Chili can get pretty messy after all and it was also a pain for when you have to wash it out, it doesn't always wash off the first try, which was why it was so stressful to clean clothes when chili stains them.

But this gave Marcus an idea.

he could use this place as a chance to get yann to follow him somewhere, that way he can lure in that monster and kill him.

He had to do with to protect everyone.

after all, monsters like yann feed off the suffering of others, it's what makes them so powerful and very difficult to defeat.

The only solution he had was to kill him, It was for everyone's sake.

And soon, If he had luck on his side, He would have a lot of people by his side to help him kill this monster.

marcus:'thinks'I must destroy him before he hurts anyone, so many innocent victims, But I have to do it, for everyone's safety, i have to kill yann.
