chapter 31: i'm sorry, my sweet angel

lars couldn't believe this, angela was in front of him, he didn't know what to feel right now, should he feel scared? But Angela wasn't doing anything to him at all, she was just staring at him with a sad looking her eyes he couldn't recall the last time he saw her looking so sad, but the last time he saw though.....He didn't want to remember it.

lars: What are you doing here?

angela: I wanted to talk to you, alone.

lars: And why do you want to talk to me? After everything you have done, Why do you think I want to talk to you?

angela: Because I have a few things to say to you.

lars: And what if I don't want to listen?

angela: don't play these games with me, i am being serious right now because I want to apologize! there, i said it! I decided to swallow my pride and ego for this, to tell you about how sorry I am, i know that isn't going to do shit for me, but I at least have to start somewhere, before I make the real progress.

lars just stared at her in silence.

angela: You probably never expecting me to say these words after what happened, do you? I don't blame you.

lars: And what if you're lying to me? What if you're just trying to break my heart all over again? And why should I even trust you at all? You have broken me so much That i thought if I died, I wouldn't have to feel the pain anymore.

angela: I know about what happened and I'm sorry!

lars: Sorry doesn't fix everything!

angela: I know that! But I am being serious! I'm sorry that I caused you so much pain! But I didn't lie when I said I love you, I do love you and I will always love you, being in that prison cell had made me realize so many things, It took a while because I was in denial, But now I finally realize it.

lars: realize what?

angela: that.....that SOMBRA was wrong this entire time.

now this caught lars attention.

angela: i know you might not believe me at all, but I am telling the truth, i realize what they were doing was wrong, because of them, because of how they raised me, i had done so many horrible things that I don't know if I'm ever going to live a happy life ever again, Because the only moments I would ever truly happy was with you and our daughters.

angela: I miss seeing you smile, I miss being so close to you, I missed the way you call me nicknames, Even though some of them were a big cringy, I love them because they were from you.

lars: angela......

angela: And I truly am sorry for everything I have done.

lars: I still can't tell if you're lying to me.

angela: well I'm not lying because I am trying to make things right, they wanted me to plant a bomb in the plane, they wanted to make sure that you would all lose, even if it meant that all of you had to die, i am not going to risk that, i'm not going to risk losing you again, I lost you once and I am not going through that pain again!

lars: so you actually love me?

angela: i will always love you, you made me feel emotions I haven't felt in a long time since I lost my real parents, i remember when I first met you, it felt like I was in a story book told the children, you were just so handsome, you were so kind as well.

lars: And I remember people talking about you, How you were basically the smartest girl in college, I was surprised you even paid it to me at all.

angela: That was because you were so cute, You were also funny as well when you told your funny little jokes.

lars: And I still make them to this day.

angela: I thought they kind of got worse because you became a dad.

lars: Which is why they are called dad jokes.

angela gently touches lars face, leaning closer to him when the door opens.

jack: stay away from my bro right now! I know you're trying to trick him and that's not going to work on him! Because I'm here for him!

lars: jack, please calm down! angela didn't do anything wrong! she wasn't going to hurt me at all! i promise! just, please don't hurt her!

jack: don't worry bro! I'm here to save you!

carmen: no one is a knight in shining armor! Jack is just being ridiculous!

carmen: While I was too busy dealing with Jack, I bet you know how much of a handful he can be, Along with being a pain in the ass.

lars:'wraps his arm around her to protect her, smiling at her'

ingrid: so are we just going to ignore the fact that Angela is in the plane?! lars, take your arm off of her right now!!!

lars: she just saved us though! And she also warned us! Another agent might come here soon! We need to be prepared for that! She said that she realized what she did was wrong, I still don't trust her but we need to right now! If we want to do this, Sometimes we need to trust the enemy to accomplish our goal.

jack:.....ok, But if she tries to do anything, I'm going to kick her ass.

jack: You have military training?

angela: long story, I know you have Baxter here, Let me talk to him, I could get some information out of him and don't worry I am not going to beat him.

carmen: We're coming with you just for good measure.
