Alex POV

It is one week till opening night and all my friends are acting super weird. Like they talk about something that I don't know about before I show up then they change the subject when I show up. Lafayette and I just got to the theater. "I SWEAR TO GOD ALMIGHTY YOU WILL NOT SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY TOMORROW!" Eliza yells as she chases after Helena trying to get her microphone back. I walk over to Jen. "Hey Alex! How's it going?" She asks as she wraps her arm around my waist. "Eh, could be better. How are you doing?" I asked, "Great!" "I have a question." I stated, "Shoot." Jen says. "What are YALL always talking about before Laf and I show up?" Her face dropped for half a second. "You'll find out on opening night, ok?" "Got it." Mrs. Smith called for us to get ready for a run through. I walked over to my bag and got my headphones out and chose a random playlist and pressed play. The intro to Taylor Swift's song Style starts playing. I start humming along to the song while starting to stretch.

Jen POV

After Alex puts her headphones off I start talking to everyone else. "Why can't I tell her yet?" I ask. "Because, mon ami, It's a surprise for her." Lafayette says. "Plus she won't have to stress so hard and get her anxiety up the week before." Harley adds on. "That makes sense." I respond. I hear someone start singing. "You got that James Dean, daydream look in your eyes, and I got that red lip classic thing that you like, and when we go crashing down we come back every time. Cause we never go out of style, we never go out of style." I look over and see Alex singing to thins song. "Oh great, now I've got to hear her sing this song for the rest of the day." Laf says causing us to laugh.
