Phillipa POV

We pull up in front of the Washington's house. I turn to Alex, "Do you know what the surprise is?" I ask "Not one clue." She says truthfully. Oh my. We get out of the car, I grab my bag, and we walk up to the door. Mrs. Washington unlocks the door and lets us in. We walk in, Mrs. Washington turns on the lights and- "WELCOME HOME!" A lot of people shout. Directly after I hear "AAAHHH! HOLY LIN AND EVERYTHING HAMILTON, MY GOD!" From Alex and some of the people start laughing. "Marquis, come here." Mrs. Washington says as Alex walks into the living room to talk to the people. A tall girl with super curly, bigger in volume hair, that is a brown with a red tint to it, in a slicked back bun held by a blue hair tie. She is a head taller than Alex, and has a mixed skin tone. She is wearing a lighter blue shirt with a pocket on the top left corner of it with a knot in the back, a pair of light blue ripped jeans, and white boots. "Bonjour, I am Marquis De Lafayette, but call me Laf." She says putting her hand out for me to shake, I take it "I-I'm Phillipa Hamilton, but you can call me what ever you'd like." I say smiling up at her. Dang, she is super freaking tall.

"Pips, come here really quick." Alex says from the other room. I put my bag down and walk over to her and a group of people. "This is Elijah Schuyler, Angelo Schuyler, Percy Schuyler, Marcus Lewis, Harley Mulligan, Jen Laurens, Aaron Paine, Matt Starr, and that is Carter White." She says introducing them all.

"Hola mini Hamilton"

"DON'T challenge any one with the last name Eacker to a duel"

"I second that"

"It looks like Anthony Ramos"

"You mean Anthony Rat Boy?"

"I will risk my life for this child already"

"Y'all, be nice. She's new."

"First off "it" has a name." says Alex looking at Carter. "Do you want to introduce yourself?" Alex asks me softly, "Su-Sure." I respond "I-I'm Phillipa Hamilton, It's nice to meet you all." I say looking at the ground, occasionally, glancing up at the group. I'm so pathetic, I can't even look at them when I talk. I'm so embarrassed. The girl named Jen walks over to me as the group disbands, but Alex stays next to me. Jen kneels down to my height, "Hey," She says as softly as Alex did earlier, if not then softer, "are you ok?" she asks. I look up at Alex giving her a look that asks 'can I trust her?' she nods while giving me a smile. "I- I feel a little embarrassed that I can't really look up at people when I talk." I say, even more embarrassed now. "That reminds me of two people." She says looking up at Alex with a smile causing me to look at her to see her crossing her arms and smiling at her. "It reminds me of my little sister and I. We both can't really talk in front of people, but your cousin here could give a six hour speech and not be tired or embarrassed of anything." Jen says while focusing her full attention towards me. "It's ok to be embarrassed, everyone is at one point. Also, if you ever need to talk to someone about that, I'm usually always here, and if not, have Alex call her girlfriend." she says while getting up and standing next to Alex, leaving me in awe, and Alex staring at her with wide eyes. "Yall are dating?" I say in shock, causing Jen to laugh and Alex to hit her arm, "Ow!"
