Y/N POV

After what feels like an eternity we finally arrive at Haven. Stepping out I'm met with a sense of dread.

Ruby: "You okay?"

Y/N: "I don't know."

Pushing this feeling aside we enter the academy. But upon doing so we find it dead quiet.

Nora: "Creepy."

Ruby: "Tell me about it. I've never known an academy to be so quiet."

We walk to the main area when a glyph appears under me.

Everyone: "Y/N!!!"

I'm magically teleported to an unknown location.

Voice: "We finally meet."

I look forward spotting a pale white woman.

Y/N: "Who are you?"

Salem: "You may call me Salem. I must say. It's an honor to finally meet you. Y/N."

Y/N: "How is it that you know me?"

Salem: "I've had my eye on you for quite some time."

Y/N: "Why?"

Salem: "To fulfill my one dream. To find a worthy opponent."

Y/N: "Worthy opponent?"

Salem: "Yes. You see I'm not like everyone else on this planet. I possess far more power than any mortal should. I'll admit the way I got it was questionable. Because of this some very powerful people saw it fit to prevent age from claiming me. And so I spent countless centuries, fighting people. Only problem is that no one could provide me a challenge. I quickly grew bored. So to avoid destroying the world, and receiving a worse punishment I used my unlimited time to wait. Wait for someone who proved they just might have what it takes to keep up with me."

She gets off her seat walking to me. She stops in front of me revealing the height difference between us.

Salem: "So how about it? Will you prove yourself?"

I think about it. I then look up at her.

Y/N: "Say I fight you. What's to happen if I lose?"

Salem: "You'll have upset me, and left the world without hope."

Y/N: "That a threat?"

Salem: "Not unless you fail."

I clench my fists. As quick as I can I deploy my sword swinging it at Salem. She however manifests a sword of her own and blocks my attack. She then develops a wide smile.

Salem: "And so it begins."

Salem waves away my sword punching my chest. I gasp flying away from her. Sliding to a stop I hold my chest feeling pain.

Y/N: "Yep. She's definitely stronger than an average person."

I roll avoiding a downward strike from Salem's sword. Becoming vulnerable I once again swing my sword slicing open her side.

Salem: "Not bad."

She attempts to punch my chest. I however catch her fist with my sword. But she counters by grabbing my sword and yanking downwards. She follows up with an uppercut that takes me off the ground. But before I can go anywhere she grabs my ankle and swings me into the wall.

Salem: "But nothing that hasn't been done before."

I toss three spheres that release smoke taking away her visual. She waves it away. But by the time she does I send a kamikaze rocket at her. She catches it smiling. I smile back as it explodes bombarding her face with lightning. She's skyrocketed into the wall severely denting it.

Y/N: "Has that been done before?"

She rushes to me moving faster than before. I hold my sword out catching hers. But she packs more force making my sword crack. It then shatters breaking in half. Salem grabs the front of my shirt slamming my back onto the ground. She then hovers over me.

Salem: "And with that I win."

She shows sadness.

Salem: "I had such high hopes for you Y/N. I truly believed you were the one. But seems I was only mistaken. What a pity."

She holds her sword to my throat.

Salem: "Take comfort knowing that when I go after your friends. Their deaths shall be quick, sparing them from the heartache of knowing about your death."
