After lunch Tony and Clint said they were going to get some tests ready for me in the lab, but in the meantime I should train.
You and Loki made your way to the gym 5 and got into position.
"Today we're going to mainly focus on physical strength, so try to not use your powers." Loki said, summoning a spear.
You nodded in reply and summoned an ice-spear of your own.
You both circled each other until you charged. You ran forward quickly and swung at his leg but he blocked it easily, he then swung at your head but you also blocked it.
"Very good, your improving." He commented as you blocked it.
"Thanks." You replied.
You then sparred for another five minutes. You tried desperately to get your spear to whack him but he always blocked it easily, you then had an idea.
"What's that!?" You said suddenly, pointing out the window.
"What?" He turned and you saw your chance. You whacked him in the shin, but harder than you meant too.
He let out a curse as he grabbed his shin and fell.
"Oh! I'm so sorry! That was way harder than what I meant. Are you ok?" You asked, kneeling beside him.
He suddenly gave you a mischievous smile right as you felt a sharp pain in your arm. You looked to see he had cut your arm with his dagger, but not too deep.
"Ow!" You exclaimed.
He did a backflip and stood upright, his spear at the ready.
"Now we're even." He said, a slight smirk on his face.
You both sparred for another ten minutes until someone called your name.
"Y/N! We're ready for the testing!" Bruce called from the entrance.
"Ok!" You replied.
You ran to your water bottle and took several quick gulps from it. Loki followed close behind, you noticed he had a slight limp and a nasty bruise from where you whacked him.
"You should put some ice on that." You said, gesturing to his bruise.
He looked at it and shrugged. "Eh, I'll be fine."
You gave him a look. "If you say so."
You both made your way to the lab to find Bruce and Tony there waiting for you.
"Ah! There you are." Tony said. "We gathered some of the monster's skin and blood to see how your ice would react and we would know what weapons to use. Oh! And also a kidney."
"Ok." You replied, walking up towards the samples.
"How did you get the samples?" Loki asked, confused.
"Because some of its scales were on all of our clothing and Nat went to the sight a little while ago and took a blood sample along with one of their kidney's before the bodies were hauled away."
"Ah."
"Alright Y/N, do your thing."
You walked up to the plate with the skin and put some of your ice magic on it...nothing happened.
"Hmmm..." Bruce wrote something down. "Now try the blood."
You did the same thing with the blood and it immediately began to sizzle and steam.
"Interesting." Bruce made another note. "Now the kidney."
You did it with the kidney and it immediately began to melt as if your ice was some kind of nuclear acid.
"Very interesting." Bruce said, staring at it.
"Wow!" Tony said wide-eyed. "I'll immediately get to work on that ice cannon. Thanks, Y/N!"
"No problem!" You replied.
You and Loki made your way back to gym 5 and began sparring again, but you noticed he wasn't quite focused because you managed to hit him at least twice.
"You good?" You asked once you got him the third time.
"Yes." He sighed angrily.
"You don't seem too focused-"
"I know!" He snapped. You blinked I surprise at the sudden outburst.
"Sorry, I just..." he pinched the bridge of his nose. "...I have a lot on my mind."
"Do you wanna talk about it?" You asked gently, placing a hand on his shoulder.
He looked at you, a strange expression on his face...we're those tears in his eyes?
"No, but...thank you." He replied, smiling at you.
"Alright. Just know I'm here if you ever wanna talk." You said, returning the smile.

Loki POV
After another hour of training I bid farewell to Y/N as she made her way to dinner while I stayed in the gym, lost in thought.
"There you are, brother!" I heard Thor's booming voice say. "Dinner's ready, aren't you coming."
"Yes, I'm just lost in thought."
"About?"
"You know what it's about."
"But Loki, your Frost Giant powers would be very helpful in aiding the team with defeating those monsters."
"Have you forgotten? Frost Giant's are also monsters! When they see me they'll see nothing but a monster and kick me from the Avengers."
"You don't know that."
I sighed. "Let's just go to dinner."
