I paced around our room, trying to think of a plan.
"How are we going to get him and us out of here without dying?" I asked.
"Overthrowing the Grandmaster." Loki replied.
"Again, we are not doing that. Although I did actually consider it this time."
"Yes! Progress!"
"Don't get your hopes up."
"Boo."
"We need to do something that doesn't involve killing anybody."
"But by the time we come up with that, Thor'll probably find his way out by then and escape."
Just then a guard came in. "The Grandmaster wants to see you both."

We entered the Grandmaster's throne room, along with some other girl, my guess was that she was another one of his close friends.
"I'm upset!" The Grandmaster called as we entered. "I'm very upset!" He floated down to us on some kind of platform. "You know what I like about being upset? The blame and right now that's the mindset I'm in."
I gulped nervously as his assistant came forward with her melting staff, in the time I've been here I've witnessed the horror that the staff can do.
"And you know who I'm blaming?"
"Grandmaster, I can-" Loki tried to say, but Grandmaster interrupted.
"Hey! Hey! Don't interrupt me!"
The lady held out the stick of doom with a quiet, "here you go."
Grandmaster paused and looked at her. "Why are you handing me the melting stick? He was interrupting, that's not a capital violation."
Me and Loki glanced at each other as he continued.
"My precious champion has come up missing and it's all because of that Lord of Thunder. It's all because of him, your brother. Whatever the story is, adopted, or complicated. Or you know I'm sure there's a big history."
Loki nodded knowingly at his words.
"And he was your contender." He pointed to the woman next to us.
"My friend," Loki began. "If you were to give us 12 hours," He gestured to me. "We could bring them both back to you, alive."
"I could do it in two." The woman interjected.
"We could do it in one." Loki said.
I rolled my eyes at the two.
"Let's stop there." Grandmaster said. "You know what? I woke up this morning thinking about a public execution." He smiled.
My blood ran cold and I unconsciously gripped onto Loki's hand.
"But for now I'll settle with this sweet little, 'who's gonna get him first'. So, you're on the clock."
***
We exited his chamber and headed to where the ships are docked.
"Loki?" I asked.
"Hm?"
"I think it would be a better idea if you and me split up."
He stopped, staring at me in shock. "What- your breaking up with me??"
The woman looked back at us and muttered something about couple's drama.
"No! Nonononono!" I immediately corrected. "I meant, for the search. I love you too much to do that."
