A few days later, Tony announced he was going to throw a party tomorrow evening, at which I got excited. I had heard his parties are pretty epic.
"What am I gonna wear?" I asked Nat, who was sitting in my bedroom helping me pick out a dress. "Ugh! I don't have one good enough." I complained.
"Don't worry you'll find something." She reassured.
I suddenly heard a knock at the door.
"Come in!" I called.
The door opened and Loki walked in.
"Hey, (y/n) I was wondering if-" He stopped seeing Nat in the room, who was looking between us with an excited expression.
"I'll just let you two talk." She said, getting up and leaving.
"Yes Loki? What do you need?" I asked, somehow already knowing.
"I-I was wondering if..." He took a deep breath. "If you'd be my date tomorrow. Now if you don't want to, that's fine I completely-"
"Shh." I said, putting a finger to his lips. "I'd love to."
He immediately broke into a smile. "Great!"
I smiled back and punched him playfully. "Now get out! I want my dress to be a surprise."
He bowed. "As you wish, my lady."
After he left, Nat came in and we both squealed like high school girls.
"This calls for a shopping trip!"

At the mall we felt like kids in a candy store, there were so many dresses.
Nat had decided on a black one, while I was debating on a sleeveless red one, or an off-the-shoulder blue.
"What do you think?" I finally asked her.
She thought for a moment. "Honestly both look great."
I was about to decide on the blue, when I saw it.

"How about that one?" I pointed to the beautiful green dress that was on display.
"Oh my word, it's perfect!" She exclaimed.
I tried it on and it fit perfectly. This was the one.
We paid for our stuff, then headed back to the tower, where the boys were all watching Football.
"Why doesn't 89 just run on the sidelines?" Thor asked, he clearly had no idea how football works.
"Because it's against the rules." Tony said with an eye roll.
"Why doesn't he just throw the brown egg on the touchdown grass?"
"Again, it's against the rules."
