Naruto was wobbling atop the surface of a river, in what most would consider 'brutal' training. Danzo was shouting questions at Naruto as the boy struggled to balance.
"What is the function of the four-point seal?"
"Its function is to hold massive amounts of chakra or other spiritual energy into a host, enabling the extraction of said chakra with little consequence to the vessel." Danzo nodded his head.
"Who was the inventor of this seal?"
"The Sage of Six Paths was said to have known and distributed all sealing knowledge, but the Kaze tribe was the first to use the seal for the purpose it's used for today." Danzo nodded once again.
"What is its purpose today?"
"Jinchuriki." Naruto spat the word with venom.
"Correct, I can say your history of sealing is up to date. You most certainly need more practice with the creation of seals, but the knowledge you possess now is equal to that of a Chunin seal specialist. You should be very proud." Danzo smiled and walked out to Naruto on the water. "Let us rest for a moment, once we have rested, we will focus more on the development of your three basic seals." Naruto nodded and took his grandfather's hand.
The pair walked with smiles on their faces, both fake, to the Ichiraku Ramen stand. Naruto was of course disheartened by the actions of the villagers, but Danzo... was beyond furious. He always was when he saw the actions of the villagers. Danzo had made sure that no one was stupid enough to touch Naruto, but alas, that didn't stop glares, Hiruzen couldn't stop it either.
"Welcome!" Naruto and Danzo finally sprouted a smile, walking into the ramen stand.
"Hello, Teuchi-kun." Danzo gave Teuchi a warm smile, something Teuchi has only recently seen, and took a seat.
"Hey, Oji!" Naruto took a seat next to his grandfather and the duo decided what to eat.
Ayame walked out to see the duo and gave a big smile.
"Yo! Naruto!" Ayame gave a massive smile as she walked to the counter.
"Ayame-Chan!" Naruto was ecstatic to see what he considered his best friend.
"I'll have my usual. So Naruto, have you decided what you want." Naruto looked to his grandfather and resisted with every fiber of his being to order his regular.
"V-V-V-" Danzo smiled.
"That's it Naruto! Do it!" Danzo cheered on Naruto
"Vegetable R-ramen." Naruto grew quiet. Teuchi and Ayame could only look at the pair stunned. Danzo smiled with pride at his grandson's actions.
"O-One vegetable ramen, and a tofu ramen." Naruto had tears of anguish on his cheeks.
"Misoooooooooo..." Danzo shook his head as he put his hand on Naruto's shoulder.
"The miso is for a special occasion now, Naru. Teuchi-kun, add some pork to Naruto's ramen please." Naruto looked at his grandfather with utter sock on his face.
"You'll... allow pork?" Naruto had a borderline pleading look on his face, only to be crushed.
"No, this is a special occasion." Naruto went bad to crying streams of cartoonish tears.
Both ate their food and went back to training.

Naruto sat on the surface of the river, forgoing balance for consistency and familiarity. Naruto's concentration was broken, however, when an ANBU with a strange mask appeared.
It was a boar.
The boar faced ANBU hands Naruto two blades and a note, a note that was left on the shore with Danzo, as Naruto fell into the water.
Danzo picked up the note, having felt the positive emotion in the ANBU.
Take the weapons, my brother. Your family will wait for you in New Uzushiogakure.
Danzo's eyes widened, he was stunned, to say the least.
"NARUTO!" Danzo commanded Naruto in front of him.
"Hai." Naruto had recognized the tone of voice, it was the same Danzo used on his shinobi before giving them a mission.
"As of this day, I am giving you information that only myself and Hokage-sama are privileged to. Uzushiogakure has been rebuilt and will wait for you. The weapons you now wield are from them." Naruto's eyes widened as he looked up. "You will them after you are a chunin. Once you have reached the status, I will deem you independent of the village. You will be permitted to make your own decision on where to stay." Danzo walked away, before looking back at Naruto only to see him sobbing over his new swords.
The two sat in silence, both emotional wrecks. Danzo was simply masterful at hiding it.
"Naruto." Danzo put a hand on Naruto's shoulder. "I will always be in this village, but I will also, first and foremost, be your grandfather." Danzo smiled and help Naruto. "I will never abandon you."
What little of Naruto's mental stability was there snapped like a twig as he tackled his grandfather, sobbing into his chest.
The two remained like this for hours.
