Naruto and Danzo sat in an empty hospital room, both seeming to prepare mentally.
"The first thing I should tell you is that I was your mother's sensei." Naruto nodded, he knew that there were far too many rules regarding his... condition; for Danzo to be present. "I'm sure you already understand why the individuals attacked you?" Naruto nodded and looked to a window.
"It's because I'm the nine-tales jinchuriki." Danzo nodded. "I don't understand why I have a doujutsu like this so-called... Moyogan." Danzo took a deep breath.
"The Moyogan is a doujutsu that allows the user to see through everything, so long as there is a pattern. The doujutsu has the passive effect of superior chakra sensing, alongside an affinity to seals." Danzo walked to the window and stared at the horizon. "The only person to have ever been known to have it was your father, Minato Namikaze." Naruto's eyes slowly grew, quickly realizing the impact of this news.
"If the fourth was my father... my mother... who was she?" Danzo looked at Naruto and smiled.
"My greatest student and daugter, Kushina Uzumaki." Danzo walked closer and sat next to Naruto. "Kushina forced Minato to let me be your first sensei. We both knew what the Kyuubi would mean for you." Danzo inched closer and held Naruto. "I'm sorry my boy... perhaps if I had simply done more, had been the ruthless shadow kage I should've been, then perhaps you wouldn't be in this room." Naruto was shaking, struggling to keep in sobs.
"Ji-san.... never leave." Naruto just shivered in the grasp of his new grandfather. "Please..." Naruto pleaded to his last family in between hiccups, gripping them to the point of his palms bleeding. Danzo pet the back of Naruto's head and back, soothing the boy the same he did Kushina.
"I will be by your side until the day I die." Naruto smiled slightly and grew closer to him.
"Thank-." He was cut off by his own mind giving out, passing out in the arms of his grandfather.
"I was wondering how long the adrenaline would last. ANBU!" Six blank ANBU appeared before Danzo, each filled with a unique emotion. "I want you to find who put the nin up to this and kill them, but not before making them suffer." All of the ANBU smiled.
"Hai!" And they were gone, leaving to do sadistic things to many, many people.

Naruto began to stir, still in his grandfather's arms. Danzo gave the boy a smile only one other had seen. Naruto felt the warmth he'd always been lacking...
Love.
Naruto got out of bed as he and Danzo walked to the ANBU mess hall. The three took seats and several ANBU were surprised with Danzo being so... soft. Not that it's a bad thing of course.
Danzo waved over someone with various foods on a plate. The ANBU had owed Danzo a favor so he got the two of them plates.
Naruto's was filled with numerous pastries, fruits, vegetables, and meats. Even a tiny thing of ramen.
Danoz's place was filled with exclusive vegetables, alongside ANBU rations. Danzo gave a nod of appreciation as the ANBU left to eat.
"Ji-san? Why is your food different?" Danoz smiled.
"I don't have any more growing, so this is enough to keep me healthy." Naruto tilted his head and gave Danzo a stick of dango.
"Eat this, it's important to eat things that taste good." Naruto gave a bright smile, and everyone in the room turned to Putty.
"Ok, Naruto."

"Ok, Naruto, I want to stay with you with Dog for a while. I need to go speak with Hiruzen." Danzo gave Naruto a pat on the head as he shunshined away.
Hokage's office
Danzo suddenly appeared in Hiruzen's office. Hiruzen knew that Danzo always went through the door less it was pressing or about Naruto.
"Danzo-san, what is the meaning of this, I was speaking to Hokage-sama on matters of great importance-!" The merchant paled as Danzo set his gaze on him.
"YOU!" Danzo roared and grabbed the merchant by the neck and put him in a genjutsu.
"Danzo! Take a breath, don't kill him until you tell me why!" Danzo looked to Hiruzen.
"This waste decided to set 4 shinobi on Naruto, three chunin, and one jonin. I had my personal ANBU investigate the matter and found that 17 highly influential people were behind the attack!" Danzo's killing intent was dwarfed by Hiruzen's.
HIruzen stamped on the merchant's... reproductive organs... causing the merchant to squeak.
"I see that it was orchestrated... who?" Danzo handed Hiruzen a list full of names, some of them his own advisors.
Hiruzen crushed the throat of the merchant and called for ANBU as the merchant writhed in pain, slowly suffocating.
"ANBU!" 7 ANBU appeared immediately, all growing alert seeing the blood on their Hokage's boot. "Take this list, and kill everyone on it except for the two highest rankings."
"Hai!" The ANBU disappeared to start a massacre.
