Carie had been very lively before but her new character meant that she hated conflicts, she was very wary of people in general. Her fear stemmed from being forced to watch her parents get slaughtered which in turn had left her with a very strong survivor guilt that turned overcautious behavior.

"Well, am off to find somewhere we could use for practice." Aardden said dismissing everyone.

The woman had been a shock to his senses as she had him thinking of feelings that he thought had been numbed in him. Her mouth called to be kissed, her eyes asked if he really trusted in himself, and the smile she had pasted on her face as she walked out made his heart beat faster. He had felt as if a horse had just kicked him on the stomach. He could not remember having been bombarded with so many emotions at once after the trauma as that moment. He had been holding his composure since she had left and it was the main reason, he wanted space and air into his lungs and thus, the excuse. He was not the only one, normally the dragons would be so uncomfortable if they met a stranger, but they had not reacted to her presence. It was like she was a familiar face a feeling that echoed as he left the house.

Since they had moved in this world, he had kept up appearances to match up the age he was supposed to be. He also had to match the role he was supposed to be in this society and it pained sometimes to imagine what his people were going through and how his throne had been snatched from him just a day after he had been crowned. He often thought of the fact that he was destined to marry a princess but her whole family had been burned when the Western-Wing palace had attacked. She too had been burned in it by the time his own family had sent help. He was young when it happened and the culprit had never been found so he had been engaged to a Lord's child-her cousin to keep the promise made, that was Carrie. Carrie was not all that bad but he could never find his courage to be intimate with her as they lacked the chemistry he had anticipated. He was afraid to tell anyone of this or even break up the sham relationship for fear of being branded weak. All kings who married out of duty were considered brave and if you fell in love with your wife that was even a bonus but those who fought and married for love had been considered weak throughout history. This strange woman that called herself Tiggy had shaken things more than he wanted to admit and like usual, he tried to justify his feelings away and focused on the task at hand.
