Aila felt strong. She was holding an orb in one hand, and in the other, a half-ice lightning staff, icicles prickled outward and the air was filled with the smell of burnt hair. She saw a giant in front of her, like a real giant.Alvin said that it was around 20 to 35 feet tall, this guy was at least twice the height, with a god-ugly face. This guy can give Hephaestus a run for his money. At the bottom of the giant stood a middle-aged woman, she had tan skin and was quite pretty. But something seemed wrong, like fries doused in gravy wrong, she jumped towards the giant with tremendous pace and strength, but a hand made out of rocks shot towards her and strangled her, she was losing her breath, and her vision dimmed. Aila woke up to an empty Hermes cabin, which was strange, since the care room was usually filled to the brim with demigods that hadn't been claimed, or Harpys cleaning the room. She strained her ears to hear something, anything.....nothing. It was as if the world had died, or that everyone was somewhere else. She tried to sit up, bad idea, she felt like her head instantly combusted. And for a moment even though her eyes were open, she only saw darkness."Bad idea." She moaned as she fell back into her pillow. She rested a bit and tried again, this time she succeeded. With an excessive amount of energy, she managed to perch her pillow against the wall and sat up. She tried to remember what happened, but suddenly everything came rushing back to her, and she almost fainted again. She looked around for it, and there it was, lying at the desk on the mouth of the glass cup glinting under the moonlight, was the glass orb. She guessed the Harpys thought the cup was a kind of perch for the orb. Which, unfortunately, was on the opposite side of the room. She gathered her courage and tried to stand up, her legs crumbled, and she felt immense pain again. And was forced to lay back down."Gods dang it." She cursed to herself " I wish I could look at that orb closely, but I had to be on my bed, I wish the orb would just be handed to me."All of a sudden she saw a movement out of the corner of her eye. Was she seeing things or did that glass orb just wobble? She focused on the orb and uttered a single word, "Move!"And there it was again, the glass orb jiggled on the mouth of the cup, then went still.Aila was freaking out, but out of curiosity she focused her mind and willed the orb to move towards her. The orb wiggled and wobbled and slowly, the cup tipped and fell."Crash" The glass shattered into a million pieces, sending a handful of shards skidding under the nearby beds. The glass orb, however, fell to the floor with a faint clunk and rolled towards Aila's bed.It rolled beside the bed and stopped. With trembling hands, Aila used her hand to scoop up the orb and placed it in her palm."What are you?" Aila said as she poked the sphere, wondering if something inside was controlling this thing. She heard a static coming out from the orb, she abruptly stopped poking it. But its noise just kept growing louder. With a flash of blue light, the house was engulfed with brightness. Which faded into a dim glow."Hello!" a female voice said similar to some you hear in movies, robotic but intelligent-like."Ahh!" Aila let out a pitched scream and accidentally dropped the orb onto the floor."Ow!" the orb complained, "Easy there, young lady, I may be an orb, but that doesn't mean that I can't feel pain.""Oh sorry!" Aila said quickly and quickly scooped up the orb again. "What.... Who are you." The orb glowed faintly blue and answered, " I am Karen creation by the gods.""What do you mean," Aila asked, still quite shaken that she was talking to a talking orb named Karen."Look young lady.....uhh.... what may I call you.""Aila.""Aila yes.....look Ms Aila.""Just Aila"" Affirmative." The orb tried to sound professional again, but Aila was not buying it. "Well, you see. I was constructed by my master, Hephaestus in the Cyclops's forge deep under the territory of Posiden. With the permission of Zeus, Hephaestus gave me all the god's power and life. But I was dangerous, too dangerous to be used under normal circumstances. So I was stored in a hell unless the world is in dire need.""Wait, back it up, hell.""Yes, Ms. Aila, hell. Eternal damnation, suffering of souls? Is it not ringing a bell?"" No I know what hell is, but why is there hell in the first place? Isn't there supposed to be an Underworld or something?"" Yes, but that is a long story," Karen said."Well...nothing's happening around here, so I guess I have time." Aila's stomach growled, and she blushed." I notice your hunger level is getting low." Karen glowed a bit, and a plate of steaming chocolate chip cookies clattered on a plate and onto Aila's lap, " Now sit back and I shall tell you my story.
