"Thank you for today Vinnie. It really does mean a lot to me." Y/n said as the two stood in front of her front door. They faced each other, both of Y/n's hands holding onto Vinnie's.
"Don't worry, it's my job to care for you. Also I'll be at Doogie's so call his house phone if you need help with moving the paintings later." Vinnie ordered and Y/n nodded thankful before standing on her tippy toes to plant a kiss on Vinnie's cheek.
Smiling, the two seperated and Vinnie left the front porch while Y/n walked into her house. Upon walking in, Y/n stood frozen and confused. In front of her stood her mother in tears and in front of her, his back turned to Y/n, stood Mark. Y/n's father.
"What do you want?" Asked Y/n fully walking in and stood in front of her mother, pushing Mark back a little since she thought he stood way too close to her mom.
"Y/n, sweetheart. This is an adults conversation. So why don't you go play hide 'n seek with your little friends." The man cooed mockingly.
"And why don't you fuck off?" Y/n threatend, standing tall against her father who was rather short.
"Excuse me? Watch your tone young lady or I'm gonna-" Before he could finish Y/n interrupted him, pushing him further towards the door.
"You're gonna what? Run away again? You think I can't chase down a man half my height?" She asked her father who seemed to get smaller since he left.
"Don't talk to your father like that Y/n. It's not very lady like. No boy is gonna like you like this." Answered Y/n's father holding the hand Y/n was pushing him away with.
"So what? I'm more of a man than you'll ever be anyway." Upon that Mark slapped her. Y/n's mother letting out a horrified scream.
Y/n pushed Mark to the side and ran out the front door and to the street. Standing in the middle of it the girl let out the loudest possible scream she could. "VINNIE!"
At the end of the street, the boy in question turned around upon hearing his name leave the all familiar voice. The smile on his face left when a man walked out and quickly covered the girls mouth, trying to drag her back in.
Vinnie could've sworn he has never ran faster towards Y/n. He didn't even think about it, his feet just acting on their own as he ran down the street towards the girl who struggled against her father. After finally reaching them, Vinnie ripped Y/n out the mans hold and pushed her to the side before landing a hard punch on Mark's cheek.
Panting Vinnie quickly turned towards Y/n and she just nodded, confirming that she was okay before Vinnie turned back towards the man. He pushed him inside the house before signaling for Y/n's mother to leave. As soon as she left, Vinnie closed the door and locked it.
Y/n's mother fell into Y/n's arms, both crying at this point as they waited. Many sounds came from inside. Grunts, thuds, slams and glass breaking along with a lot of other things. "I'm sorry baby." Y/n's mother apologized.
"Don't apologize. What happened? Why is he here?" Y/n asked hopeful her mom could explain.
"The gallery we're supposed to have the exhibition at? Turns out he owns it. I came down there to ask when we can bring the paintings and he started asking when we moved to this city and that he wants to try again and... I... I said no but he didn't like it." Y/n's mother cried while Y/n wipped away her tears.
"Don't worry. He'll leave us alone when Vinnie is done with him." The girl smiled at her mother who laughed bitterly.
"What are we gonna do about the gallery then? We definetly can't have it now." Y/n's mother continued to worry desperately.
"We'll figure something out okay? We can try and talk to the previous owner or something alright?" Y/n just tried to make up solutions on the spot so her mother would stop being so worried and it seemed to work as the woman finally calmed down. "Let's just wait for Vinnie to handle this part."

"You know, I've recently been getting in quite a few fights for you and still haven't gotten a reward." Vinnie pouted while Y/n cleaned up his bruised knuckles.
Lifting her eyes from the hand and to Vinnie, the girl planted a quick kiss to the boys cheek. "There? Is that a good enough reward?" She asked, her eyes moving back down to his bruised hand.
"No." The boy simply stated. He lifted the bruised hand and placed it under her chin, lifting it so that she would finally pay attention to him and not his hand. In a quick and swift motion Vinnie's lips captured the ones of the girl. The two sharing the sweetest kiss before seperating.
"You know if my mom was home right now, she would've beat your ass." Y/n stated smiling at the boy mentioning her mother who was currently taking care of the whole gallery business on if it was happening or not.
"But she's not, is she?" The boy teased before once again kissing the girl in front of him. He swore he could've just melted the second the sweet smell of her perfume wrapped around him and the taste of her cherry lip gloss was felt on his lips.
"You're very happy for a guy who just got beat up." Y/n laughed lightly pushing him away to finish up cleaning the wound.
"Hey! I didn't get beat up. I was protecting my girl and her mom." Vinnie stated proudly and Y/n smiled back up at him.
"Thank you Vin. It really does mean a lot to me." The girl thanked in all seriousness and now it was his turn to smile.
"Don't worry, amore. Anytime..."
