"Thank you for this Vin. It really helped me get it done." The girl smiled kindly at the boy who pulled her into a hug.

"Always. And I promise I won't ever do that to you again. It was selfish and rude of me to assume you cancelled just because you wanted to paint. I know now that you needed to and whenever you're in such trouble again, call me up and I'll help you. Keep you company." The boy smiled brightly at her and Y/n could've sworn she would just melt away already.

"Thank you, Vinnie..." She thanked the boy with all her heart.

"Thank you, Y/n. Now go to bed and we can hang out tomorrow. If you can of course." The boy quickly added the last part worried to not make it seem like she had to and Y/n laughed at his expression.

"Don't worry, I can. I will have to leave early to move the pieces to the gallery and then the day after tomorrow we'll put them up and have the gallery." She reassured Vinnie who's smile was back on his face.

"Are many people coming?" He asked her and Y/n nodded nervously.

"Yeah from what I've heard it's gonna be a hit. Since it's not an open gallery people did have to buy tickets and I was told a lot of them were sold!" She answered excited and Vinnie looked fondly at her.

"I'm glad! How about we go together to the opening then? It can be like a date!" The boy asked her out and Y/n could already feel even more blood rushing to her cheeks.

"Of course! And dress nicely please. It's a black tie gathering." Y/n made sure to tell him how to dress so he wouldn't show up in another red button up and white t shirt to one of her galleries.

"Of course! I can't wait. I'll pick you up tomorrow 2 pm alright?" Vinnie asked and the girl nodded letting him out of the front door.

Before he left, the boy gave a quick peck to her lips and ran back home since it was already really late and he didn't want for his parents to worry. The girl closed back the door and went to get ready for bed. Tomorrow was gonna be a long day but it was all gonna be worth it.

"So where are we going?" Y/n's summer light blue dress swayed along with the calming breeze.

"It's a surprise. I saw yesterday that they put something up in the town and immediately thought about taking you there for our date today. I already know you're gonna love it." The boy smiled at her. He wore a white t shirt and a light blue button up on top of it to match with Y/n. "We're almost there so close your eyes."

After closing her eyes it's as if all other sense turned on for Y/n now that she couldn't use her main one. Her ears were filled with music and laughter of children and even screaming. Her hands held on tightly to Vinnie's clothes as he guided her closer to the sounds. As they came closer she could now smell all kinds of sweets, popcorn and even fresh pretzels.

"Okay open them."

As she opened her eyes before her stood many riding machines, fun games and food stands. Around were many people walking and eating or taking pictures with more people dressed up as fun characters. They were at a carnival. "Oh my god! You're the best!"

The girl hugged him tightly and his hands wrapped right around her waist holding on with just as much force as her. "I knew you'd like it." He laughed and Y/n smiled brightly, flashing him her infamous gummy smile that was seen once in a year. "I'll make sure to make you smile like that more often. I like it."

"Oh come on!" Blushing at his comment that she chose to ignore, the girl pulled onto Vinnie to go into the carnival to ride fun rides and eat many delicious sweets.

"This is so good!" Y/n smiled back at Vinnie as they ate fresh perfectly salted pretzels. They have spent the last two hours going on rides and playing games, Vinnie won Y/n a giant teddy bear and now they were in line waiting for the ferris wheel.

"Mhm! I knew you'd like it!" The boy laughed as the two got into their carrier and sat down next to each other. The man working there pulled the railing over them to secure them in and the ride started.

Y/n's head laid down onto Vinnie's shoulder as the ferris wheel came up top, the two being able to see the whole city over them. The night lights lit up across the city illuminated the whole place. Y/n's eyes shifted towards Vinnie who was looking out at the pretty view. His face shined bright under the lights, his eyes sparkling while looking at the city.

"What?" He asked lightly smiling at her, noticing how she was gazing at him.

"Mmm... Nothing. You just... Reminded me of something..." She smiled back at him before looking forward at the view yet Vinnie's gaze fixated onto Y/n. Noticing the girl blushed and laughed. "What?" She asked.

"Nothing... You're just pretty." The smile wouldn't dare to leave his face while looking at the pretty girl. "...Y/n?"

"Yeah?" She asked noticing how the boy got slightly nervous but his whole facade seemed to change in a second before he asked her.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

Smiling at the boy she answered him in a heart beat. "I thought you'd never ask..."

The girl leaned in towards him and he dipped his head down so the two could be caught in the sweetest kiss the world could offer. After pulling away the boy mumbled. "I'm glad I did."

"Me too..." She smiled back at him before resting her head back onto his shoulder. The two lovers enjoying the rest of their night not even knowing what horrors tomorrow will bring for them...
