After that confession, silence filled the room. None of them talked for a few minutes.She knew that Her Majesty always liked her, and she liked Her Majesty too. However, she couldn't act on her feelings, so she chose to ignore them because she knew that it was wrong on so many levels. So no matter how many times Her Majesty made moves on her, she ignored it, hoping that one day Her Majesty would give up on her. But Her Majesty was one tough girl! No matter how many rejections she faced, she never backed out. But this confession was different. It was new to both of them. None of them expected it to come out like that; even Her Majesty herself was surprised! However, she owned it like a champ and said this:
Her: Yes! I like you, and it will kill me to see you getting hurt. I know you are great at what you do, but I'm trying to protect what matters to me the most, and that is you.
Hearing this, the CSO was pretty shocked and was happy too. She can never let Her Majesty know that she likes her too. It was hurting her. Despite being hurt, she cannot reveal her true feelings. So, she swallowed the pain and mustered the harsh words that were about to come.
CSO: If you are trying to protect what matters to you the most, I'm also trying to protect what matters to me the most, and that is you, Her Majesty.
(Short pause)
You are my duty, and I am trying to protect my duty.
