Her Majesty was ten years old when she met her CSO for the first time. She still remembers it vividly to this day. The Princess was playing in her favorite rose garden, running across it and laughing sweetly. She twisted her ankle while doing so and was about to fall down, suddenly she felt a warm, protective hand around her arm. That hand grabbed the Princess and saved her from falling to the ground. In the process, they got so close that their eyes locked. It felt magical to both of them; their eyes glistened. However, since they were both young, they didn't know what that feeling was. But they stood there, mesmerized by the sight in front of each other. This was all observed by The King (the Princess's father), who chuckled a little. He proceeded to introduce them to each other. He introduced the new girl as her Unbreakable Sword, her security, but most importantly, her friend. She was happy to hear that this slightly older girl was going to be her friend.

They were inseparable. They went everywhere together, trained together, went to school together, and sometimes sneaked out and went to parties together. Things were fantastic for a few years, but then things fell apart when the Princess had to go abroad for her studies. Alone. They were distraught. They couldn't bear the idea of being away from each other for two years. Unfortunately, it was inevitable, as it was a custom for the future heir to study abroad in order to lead a normal lifestyle.

When the time came for them to be apart, they realized that they liked each other a lot. It was more than just liking a friend. The relationship they had was more than just a master-servant relationship; it was more than being best friends. It was magical and more meaningful. Needless to say, neither of them confessed, as they were both very much tongue-tied, and the Princess left. In these two years, they had very different environments. The Princess was a free bird and she learned to express herself more. She became bold, courageous, and a bit flirty. On the other hand, the CSO was vigorously trained. She became much more stoic, almost expressionless.

When the Princess arrived, she was dumbstruck to see her friend become like this. She was not expecting her friend to become a statue. Due to this, things changed between them. It was difficult for the Princess to communicate with her friend. However, she decided that she should not back up this time and she should win her CSO back.

Note 1: I used the word "Princess" here instead of "Her Majesty" because she was young and her father was still alive.
Note 2: This chapter was written to provide insight into how the main characters were before and after and what made them like this now.
Note 3: Timeline
The princess met her when she was ten years old, and CSO was eleven. They were together for four years, and the princess went abroad for three years to study. She came back two years ago.
