It's been a while since Her Majesty ordered the investigation. Neither Xena's father nor her spy brought any information. Moreover, the spy hasn't given any whereabouts about him. This made Her Majesty anxious, angry, and frustrated. But she didn't show any of her emotions since she knew that the investigation is hard to do and waited patiently. Amidst all this, the palace and people of Votara had very pleasant news. The Queen Mother gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Everyone was happy to meet him, especially Her Majesty and her brother. The Queen Mother was even happier to make her other two children the third parents of this kid, and they both were more than happy to be so. However, the Queen Mother and the Prince observed that Her Majesty was anxious all the time and decided to ask her. After a long time of pushing her for answers, Her Majesty finally replied very reluctantly. They were pretty shocked and sad about it because they didn't notice the weight Her Majesty was carrying. After hearing the story, the Queen Mother and the Prince hugged her and said they were sorry that they didn't notice what she was going through. While the Queen Mother was retracting back from the hug, she said this:
Queen Mother: I'm so sorry that you have to go through this all alone. I want to help you, I really do, but as you can see, I just gave birth and I'm incapable of helping you.
Her: No, mother, please don't do anything. I'm just happy that you are with us and gave us a baby brother. All I want you to do is take plenty of rest and take care of yourself and our baby brother.
The Prince: Finally! I got rid of that title. Thank you, my baby brother, for snatching that title from me. Since I'm not a baby brother anymore, please let me find that spy of yours.
Her: No, don't get any ideas. You are still my baby brother, and it is a very dangerous task, so I'm not allowing you to do anything.
The Prince: Your Majesty!... No, Sister, he is not just your father; he is my father too, and I have the same responsibility as you do, and I have lacked enough. I don't want to do that anymore. Let me take some of your responsibilities. I'm begging you, please.
Her Majesty accepted the defeat and agreed, but she warned him to be careful. He exclaimed, "YES!" in excitement and started the journey after a few days.
