The Comeback 3

Help.

When the morning sun rose, Red was still laying on the bathroom floor. She hadn't fallen asleep again, much to her relief, and the others weren't up yet. She got up, legs still shaking, and stumbled back into her room. Red struggled on some joggers and an over-sized hoodie, making sure to cover every wound. When she finally managed to get everything on, she limped to the door, through the corridor and down the stairs. She got into the living room, and saw that no-one else was up, so she put on a movie. She threw a blanket over herself, being mindful not to get too comfy in case she fell asleep. After an hour or so, Green came down and greeted Red.

"Oh hey Red!" She said, smiling as she walked into the room.

"Hey Green." Red said, smiling back.

"What 'ya watching?" 

"2012." Red replied.

"Oh, good film!" Green said, sitting in an armchair.

They sat there in silence for a bit, but slowly, Red turned to Green and said, "Um, Green?"

"Yeah?"

"What are we going to do about Cyberna?"

Green looked at a spot on the wall, deep in thought before saying, "I mean I guess we could start by getting all the help we can get, right? Purple and Mango are coming over again soon, but I don't know who else to ask.."

They both returned to silence, but not for long as Red suddenly snapped her fingers and said, "Alan!"

"Of course!" Green said, her eyes lighting up.

"I'll go to Adobe Animate, he's probably up by now." Red said, getting up, trying to hide the pain etched on her face as her wounds burned.

She walked out of the room as fast as she could and limped over to Adobe, where Alan was drawing a frame for an animation.

His cursor traveled over to Red and he typed:

'Oh hey Red! What's up?'

"Alan, we need your help."

'Oh god Yellow didn't set the microwave on fire again, did he?'

"No, nothing like that. Something worse."

'I'm listening..'

"This stick called Cyberna is coming. He can destroy whole websites in only a few minutes, and is the most powerful hacker in the world. He's a literal demon of the internet."

'Oh crap. Well, what do you want me to do?'

"Prepare for a battle. I'll explain more once I've got things sorted out with the others. Bye Alan."

'Alright. Bye Red.'

She waved and walked back out of Adobe, going back to the others. Everyone was up by then and waiting for her in the living room. SC came up and hugged her, which caused her to wounds to ache and throb. She squeezed her eyes and ignored the pain as best as she could, gently hugging him back and sighing, a shaky breath.

"You ok?" He asked, pulling away and looking at her, concerned.

"Yeah I'm fine. I talked to Alan and he said he's happy to help." She said, sitting down.

"I guess that's all the people we can ask then." Blue said, frowning.

"No. No it isn't." Red said, looking up at them.

"What?" Yellow said, turning to her.

"We know other people, don't we?" She said, looking at everyone.

They just looked at her in confusion, so she sighed and stood up again, going down the hallway and into a small empty room. By this time, the others realized who she was talking about.

"Red, it's been a year, god knows what's happened to them." SC said.

"Yeah, and besides, there's no way you can open a portal to their world all be yourself, it drains all your strength." Said Blue.

"I have to try." Red said firmly.

This time, they didn't try to stop her, and just moved out of the way.

"I'll be fine." She reassured, turning to the wall and taking a deep breath.

Red put her hand out, and a fiery ball of white light formed in her palm. It glowed and she threw it towards the wall. Instead of it disappearing, it latched onto the wall and started growing, spreading outwards as Red's hand shook, forcing the light to spread.

Red's hand strained and she bit her bottom lip whenever her wounds hurt the worst, but she refused to stop. The edges of the now large portal bubbled and glitched, a mix of neon and vibrant colors.

She felt an electric shock go through her body and she stopped growing the portal, her knees instantly buckling and falling to the floor. 

SC caught her just before she hit the floor, holding her head as her vision went blurry and dark. 

"Red, Red! Red are you ok?!" A muffled voice rung in her mind.

When she could see normally again, she sat up and rubbed her eyes,, looking behind her and seeing the others looking at her, worried expressions.

"You alright?" SC asked nervously.

"Yeah I'm ok, did I do it?" Red asked, looking back at the portal.

"Definitely." Green said, staring at the glowing thing.

SC helped Red up and she walked towards the portal.

"Ok, I'll do this as fast as I can." She said.

"Be safe." A couple of voices said behind her.

She nodded and stepped through the portal, white flooding her vision and everything fading around her.
