The Comeback 3

Pain.

(TW: Blood, swearing)

Red woke up and rubbed her eyes. She wasn't in her room, but in the void, and she could see Cyberna in the distance.

"No...no.." She said under her breath, a tear rolling down her cheek.

Cyberna used his powers to pull her over, and he said, "Red, I just want to talk. No games."

He looked genuine, so she sat down with him and he started talking.

"Red, you do know that you're not going to win this war?"

"I don't know what happens in the future, and neither do you."

"Oh but I do. I can see into the future Red, and it doesn't look good for you. I see your friends dying painful deaths, the city being taken over, and people betraying you."

"What are you even fighting for?"

"Power. Red, I'm not a proper stick as you know, I'm built of viruses and debris. So, I'm fighting to kill you and your friends. With your powers and their strength put together I could become whole. Not an anomaly. If I become a proper stick it could unleash endless possibilities, and I want that power. We both want things, don't we?" 

"What?"

"I know what you want Red. You want a normal life again. That can happen if you surrender you know? The easy way is to just...give up."

"I am not going to give up on my friends and everything I have worked for! I have been through hell to get where I am now, and I am not about to let some fucking demon stop me." She shouted, standing up. "You may bring a battle, Cyberna, but I'll bring a fucking war." 

With that, Red walked away, not knowing where she was going, but not stopping to look behind her. Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her stomach, and she look down to see a growing splotch of red on her shirt.

She woke up with a jolt as light flashed over her eyelids. The sharp pain was still there and she realized that she had a huge wound on her stomach. She was bleeding out. Red struggled out of bed and realized that SC wasn't there anymore. This was because he hadn't wanted to wake Red up when he did, so he had left the room early in the morning whilst she was still sleeping. 

Red screamed as loud as she could, her broken voice pushed to it's limit.

Everyone else was in the lounge when they heard Red's scream.

"What was that!?" Green exclaimed as she heard the blood curling noise.

SC jumped out of his seat and ran to Red's room, slamming the door open and taking a sharp intake of breath as he saw Red crying on the floor in absolute agony. He rushed to her side and immediately started pressing down on the wound.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no Red!" He said, desperately trying to stop the blood flow. "Stay still. Stay still for me baby, please!" As Red writhed.

"I can't! I can't..." Red whimpered through panicked breathing, her heels digging into the ground as her head fell back in sheer agony.

"Holy shit what happened?!" Blue said as the others came into the room.

"I don't know I-I found her like this!" SC stuttered, choking on his tears.

"I'll go get bandages!" Chosen said, running out of the room.

"SC..." Purple said.

"Yeah?!"

"Look..." Purple said, pointing to the scarring on Red's side.

"Oh my god..." He breathed, shocked to see the amount of scars on her stomach and arms. They looked fairly new.

"We can't focus on that now your girlfriends bleeding out!!" Lime said, ripping off some of her shirt to compress it.

"Ow, ow ow." Red seethed through a broken groan, squeezing her eyes shut.

Chosen rushed back in with a medical kit in hand and knelt down beside Red, the others helping him to patch the wound up. Once it was finished, the others helped Red sit up and attempted to put her back in bed,, but she squirmed in their arms, screaming, "NO NO NO! I don't want to fall asleep again, please!"

They didn't listen to her, apart from SC who said, "Stop guys!"

Red sat on the bed, breathing heavily whilst SC held her. Once everyone had clamed down, Red turned to them all.

"You guys need an explanation." She said, wincing. "...if I go to sleep Cyberna will kill me."

"Wait what?" Violet said.

"When we were back at Alan's, that night when Herobrine showed himself again, he spoke to me in my sleep. Well, it was was more of an attack. That's what these scars are from." She said, gesturing to the scarring on her stomach. 

"Wait but you said it was whilst you were sleeping?" Orange said.

"That's the thing. He attacked me in my nightmare and somehow it then affected me in real life. That's why I haven't eaten or slept these last five days-"

"FIVE DAYS!?" The others said, not fully comprehending the facts of it all.

"Yeah I know. It go so bad...that's why you found me in the kitchen last night. I was trying to search for something to keep me awake but I just could do it anymore." She explained, her face a picture of regret and pain. "...and it's also why I kept saying random shit like: 'Don't make me fall asleep.'"

SC's jaw dropped a little in shock as he heard he had done. He felt like the biggest piece of shit in the world.

"I'm so sorry." He croaked.

"No...it's nobody's fault but Cyberna's. Don't put that on yourself." Red said, rubbing his shoulder.

"You're telling me that you trained almost non-stop for four days, going on no sleep and no food for five days, and you didn't collapse until the fifth day?" Crimson said in disbelief.

Red nodded.

"Holy shit."
