Finally Logan gave me proper clothes and the private jet landed hours later.

My dress was off shoulders making my tattoo reveal.

'be happy' with two butterfly's.
Odessa had designed my custom tattoo for my seventeenth birthday. According to her, it was a "lovely reminder" that she would always be close to me.
"Whenever I see that tattoo, I remember that day," Logan said with a quiet laugh.
I groaned instantly. "Don't remind me."
How could I forget? Logan had been the one doing the tattoo, and I had spent nearly the entire session yelling insults at him.
"You were terrible at it," I complained. "It hurt so much."
"CC, tattoos are supposed to hurt," Logan said, amused as he ruffled my hair. "Besides, it was your first one."
"Logan!" I snapped, swatting his hand away.
By the time we reached the Fox mansion, I still hadn't moved from the passenger seat.
Logan walked around the car and opened my door. "There's no point pretending we're not here."
I ignored him and crossed my arms stubbornly.
"Stop acting like a five-year-old."
Before I could argue, he lifted me over his shoulder effortlessly.
"LOGAN!"
•••
I was still struggling when a familiar voice echoed through the mansion.
"The baby finally came back!"
I froze.
"Odessa!" I yelled as soon as I saw her walking down the stairs. "How dare you have me dragged back here?!"
Both Logan and Odessa laughed like this was all entertaining.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Odessa replied dramatically.
Logan finally set me down on the couch.
I glared at both of them. "Why am I here?"
"We have a party to attend next week," Odessa explained casually. "And I need your help with something."
"That sounds suspicious already."
Her smile widened. "I need you to collect a hair sample for me."
I blinked. "That's it?"
"That's it."
"Why can't someone else do it?"
"Because," Odessa said proudly, "you're my best assassin."
I crossed my arms. "Interesting. Considering someone said I still needed training."
Odessa immediately glanced toward Logan.
Logan, the idiot, actually looked amused.
"Well," Odessa said smoothly, "that someone is a fighter, not an assassin."
I rolled my eyes.
Technically, assassins were faster. Fighters relied on strength. Logan only managed to catch me off guard because I hadn't expected it from him.
Traitor.
"Why do you need DNA anyway?" I asked jokingly. "Did you finally find your missing daughter or something?"
The moment the words left my mouth, Odessa's smile faded.
The air changed instantly.
"Not mine," she said quietly. "Someone else's."
My expression hardened. "Who?"
"The Dashwood family."
Anger hit me so fast it almost felt physical.
"I thought we agreed not to talk about them."
The Dashwoods.
My birth family.
The family feared by every mafia circle in the world.
Their reputation had survived everything—even abandoning one of their own daughters.
Me.
I had a twin sister somewhere out there. She looked exactly like me... except for the eyes.
She didn't have the cold grey eyes everyone in the underworld called monster eyes.
If our eye colors matched, no one would be able to tell us apart.
"We'll talk about this later," Odessa said firmly. "Right now, I need DNA from one of the Dashwoods before the day after tomorrow."
And just like that, every bit of peace I had left disappeared.
