025 - Jealousy

BZZT.

Yewon's phone vibrates again but she ignored it. Before the waitress left, she left behind a reply to Taehyung which sounded:

"You know, I'm cute too." and slipped a folded note under his tall glass of freaking pink strawberry frappe.

Ever since then, everyone was quiet. Taehyung looked nervous suddenly when Yewon was glued to her book, not looking up once nor talking to him at all.

Bzzt.

Her phone vibrates yet again and as usual Yewon continues highlighting passage in her notes. Hoseok glanced warily at her. He knew Taehyung was trying to talk to Yewon though he didn't understand why through texts and not talking?

Hoseok cleared his throat and asked, "Are you not eating the carbonara?"

"No, it's for Yewon." Taehyung quickly answered. Then his face lit up as he remembered the reason why he ordered them.

"On the way here, you told me you're hungry. I ordered this for you." Taehyung carefully pushes the plate towards her.

Sora quietly 'aww' in her mind, one hand resting on her chest. Then she nudged Yewon's shoes from under the table.

Of course, Yewon couldn't stay upset for too long when Taehyung is this sweet to her. She admits she felt uneasy with all the attention he gets ever since he stepped in this café. And then she was jealous, hurt and confused with his response towards the waitress.

"What do you mean by 'I know'?" Yewon decided to ask than overthinking. He did say to not burden her head with useless thoughts but... was this a useless thought?

"I shouldn't have responded to her. But I can't help it and agreed that I have a cute taste."

"So you're saying she's cute?"

Yoongi quietly cleared his throat, leaning in his chair and sipping his Iced Americano. He really looks forward to seeing how the school grim reaper soothes his jealous girlfriend.

In front of him, Hoseok is worried about them whilst his journalist eyes sparkle with curiosity as well. At least he worries a little compared to Sora who looks all excited and giddy.

"No. I was implying that you are cute. Cuter than her."

"You still notice she's cute."

Mia bit her lips so her laugh will not be audible.

"But you're still cuter than her. The point here is, I fell for you Yewon. Not her."

Yewon bit her lips trying to stop herself from smiling. Why is Taehyung so sweet, really?

"Okay," she murmured, hiding her smile.

Yewon pulls the plate closer to her. Taehyung watches her roll the spaghetti around the fork and takes that first bite.

"You're not upset anymore?" he carefully asks after she went for a second bite. Taehyung can sense he probably shouldn't ask, but he's dying to know if they are okay now.

"I believe you." Yewon raised the fork towards him when Taehyung opened his mouth to speak. Instinctively, he ate them, blinking blankly at her while she allowed her lips to stretch an assuring smile.

Hoseok, Sora and Mia smile witnessing them, except Yoongi.

"Oh, come on..." He groaned in displease for their disrespectful manner in front of single people.
