021 - Affair

"START baking by early November... distribute by phase... with... wish card... for christmas and... new year." Yewon speaks to herself as she jots down in her journal.

Last week, cooking club had short briefing and meeting within groups for their Winter Project. Each group have chosen one type of cookie to bake, with shape that symbolises winter such as; christmas tree, gift, star etc., the cookie flavor and their packaging.

And this week, they are baking cookies as per discussed and packed-basically testing them with taste and visually-before they can proceed to order ingredients in bulk and starts their year end project.

Yewon then circled three Saturdays in November using red gel pen.

Because their club are a mixed from year one to year three students, there are clashes of classes and schedules. Therefore, after considering-whether they like it or not-they have to utilise their weekend for baking as well as extending Wednesdays evening until 7pm.

Moreover, with school provided funds, each students will get a pack of cookies before winter break starts. Hence, more cookies to bake.

Thinking how busy it will get, Yewon canʼt help sighing.

However, a smile soon light up her face when her eyes fell around heart shape drawn on certain dates in November-flipping to the next page-and in December. Despite their upcoming hectic days, she and Taehyung tried to squeeze in time to spend together.

There are a lot Taehyung and her planned to do together to celebrate winter this year. And it will be meaningful to both of them.

"Taehyung sunbaenim are getting flocked."

Yewonʼs ears perked up after catching her boyfriendʼs name being said.

"I wonder what theyʼre discussing."

"I wanna join too..."

Yewon closes her journal. The cookies are almost done baking. She noted after checking the timer.

"Donʼt you think Taehyung sunbae is getting brighter these days?"

"Yeah, he used to hang out with his club members only but look, so many new faces there."

How tempting it was to see what they see that Yewon left the ovens towards the window. The girls are right.

Besides Taekwondo boys she met during dance practice, Yewon sees familiar faces of her friends, Jimin and others unfamiliar faces.

"Runa?" even the sewing club is gathering. Now this is getting interesting. If Yewon remembers correctly, the place they gathered at was the usual spot where Taehyung used to feed the cat.

Seeing their relax faces and rather excitement buzzing, Yewon wonder was it because they finally caught on Taehyungʼs secret act of kindness. She chuckles watching Taehyungʼs bashful face among the new faces.

"Vice Prez, should we go see too?" the juniors batting their eyes cutely. Without the need to do that, Yewon herself is eager to go, but, they canʼt let their precious cookies burnt.

"After we done packing." her words are firm, causing the club president chuckled under his breath.

"Sure you donʼt wanna run there now?" he asked teasingly.

"Of course I do, so, lets finish up quickly." Yewon pushed him to the other side to lead first group while she herself already running instructing the second group to take out cookies, taste them and packed them.
