The unattractive Knight

Rex Crozzo, a 15-year-old, dressed in a casual Attire xomposed of a red jacket with black stripes over a white longsleeved shirt, sighed tiredly as he looked with his lone good left eye at the flask in his hand. His right eye has been damaged ever since he was 12 and it made him look a lot less like his brothers. He was the ugliest of the three.

"Hey, Rex!" The voice of his uncle Siegfried, A close family friend of his uncle and father, echoed as he looked at him. 

"Uncle Ziggy," he said with a smile. "It's been a while," 

"Indeed," Siegfried smiled as he grabbed the boy in a headlock. "Heard you finished more contracts,"

"I did," Completely relaxed, the red-clad swordsman of House Crozzo, let a small smile bloom on his fice.

"And a sword? You're big sis-in-law is gonna cry,"

"Big sis Ely isn't married to Rein, though," Rex replied as he got out of the head lock.

"I can feel it, Kid." Siegfried said with a smile as the Crozzo and Kaslana walked through the hallways of the Far-east branch of Schicksal, Shamash strapped to the waist of Ziegfried while a simple black sword was sheathed on his back. "Where did you get the sword?"

"My friend, Charles, has a weapons foundry and he gave me this as thanks." Rex said with a smile as he held the handle of the blade.

"

Where's the dumb one?" Rex asked, referring to Kiana Kaslana, a close friend of his.

"Kiana's in Nagazora. She was assigned there to check up on Ryoma." Siegfried said with a pout as he remembered his his little girl was like. "You miss her already?"

Rex just shrugged as he knew, Kiana will be fine. "Nah, Kiana will be fine."

"Saying that while texting Kiana doesn't support your argument, Kid," Siegfried said with a smile as Rex stopped and glared at him.

True to his words, A barrage of messages from Kiana, assaulted his phone. There was even a picture of Kiana in a school uniform with a caption that said 'Wish you were here' on the top and 'Take care of yourself,' on the bottom.

"Kid, you know you have my blessings, right?" Siegfried said with a smile as he threw an arm around Rex's shoulders.

"With this ugly mug?" Rex asked, motioning to his scarred and ugly face. "Pfft, nice joke uncle Zig," The young man said.

Siegfried shook his head as he looked at his surrogate nephew. He and Kiana were close, Their bond being forged instantaenously as soon as they met. Only if Kiana could tell him...

"Ah, the prodigal brother returns," the voice of his surrogate (and hopefully future) sister said with a smile.

"What's with the maid outfit?" Rex asked, looking at his older sister with a raised brow.

"Rein has been ignoring me! He went back to simping for Kallen..." Elysia whispered with a pout.

"..." Rex, wisely kept his mouth shut.

"Don't worry, Rexie~ Onee-Chan is planning to seduce your brother again!" Elysia said with a confident smile as she entered the room.

Rex and Siegfried looked at each other before entering the room, only to see a red-faced Elysia on Reinhardt's lap as he sat on a plush chair with a cup coffee on his hand and a pen on the other.

"Rex, Welcome back." Reinhard said with a soft smile, one that resulted in a blushing Elysia. "You too, Uncle Ziggy."

"Big bro, big sis is gonna..."

"Hmm?" Reinhardt asked, confused as to why his brother went quiet, not noticing the glare Elysia gave him.

"Nevermind. Say, I got some tickets for a three-day hot springs resort trip, sadly, I can't go. I have a contract somewhere in the middle east that day. Maybe you and big sis Ely can go?"

"Hmm, I don't see why not." Reinhardt said as he thought about it while Elysia beamed at Rex. "Are you-"

"I am." Elysia said with a big smile as she hugged him. Reinhardt, while surprised, smiled and returned the hug. the two were lost in their own world, forgetting that Siegfried and Rex were present.

Kiana Kaslana smiled brightly as he saw the familiar mane of dark hair approaching close to her. It has been a while since she last saw his ugly mug and with the stress of her mission, it only made her miss her bestfriend even more!

"Uhm, is something wrong?" Mei asked as she looked uncomfortable at the scary-looking man that approached them while Bronya stood in front of her.

"Mou~ Did you really have to look at my Mei first, before me?" Kiana said with a pout yet her blue eyes held mischief for the young man with a scarred face on the right side. "Mei is mine! If you want to look, then... I guess... I can-ack!"

Rex smirked as he lowered the hand he just used to flick her forehead with. Before he knew it, Kiana already wrapped her arms around him.

"I missed you, you ugly swordsman," Kiana said with a smile, looking at up at the young man with the same smile that brightened the room.

"Yeah, yeah. i missed you too, you dumb tuna." Rex shot back with a fond tone in his voice while he looked at Mei and Bronya.

"I thank you for taking care of Kiana. As you know, she can be a handful." A soft punch hit his stomach but he did nothing. After all, her punch was playful and meant no harm. "Did you eat glue again?"

Kiana turned red as she glared at him, whining his name. "that was one time!"

"It still happened one time too many," Rex said with a smile, only to lean in to her touch as she traced a new scar under his cheek. "

You should be more careful... You might have an insane healing factor but you can still get hurt." Kiana whispered as she looked at him. "Ah, I forgot! Rexxie, this Bratnya, ignore her."

"The Bronya disagrees. It should be you that must be ignored."

"Huh?! What did you say you brat?!" Kiana asked, letting go of Rex as she glared at Bronya.

"I see that Kiana Idiotka is not only dumb but deaf as well."

"I'm sorry about them," Mei said with an embarassed smile. "I am Mei, Mei Raiden."

"Ah, you're the daughter Uncle Ryoma talks about... I'm Rex, Rex Crozzo,"

"Father told you about me?" Mei asked, the two slowly formed a bond while Kiana and Bronya argued.

A/N: Rex has scars similar to Eskel and his face looks like a Genderbent Fu Hua. Well, yeah to those new to the Crozzoverse, Fu Hua is the Crozzo Family's Ancestor.
