Rex Crozzo blinked as he looked at the vial in front of him.

"We finally did it! The cure for Honkai infection. we can release this to the public now!"

"Are you an idiot?" Rex asked, staring at the researcher with a blank look on his face.

"What are you saying, Director?" The researcher asked as he looked at Rex. "We spent years developing this cure and it happened."

"Did you account for any long term side-effects?" Rex asked, stopping from signing some papers.

"What does it matter? Do you know how many—,"

"Ssh..." A finger in front of his lips followed the silent voice and the researchers in front of him stood in attention. "Did you?"

"N-no," The researcher timidly replied as he paled.

"Good, now. Go and make sure to take care of EVERYTHING," Rex said with a smile on his face.

"Y-yes sir!" The researcher said, running away.

Sighing to himself, Rex looked at the file in front of him. His soulium arm without the synthetic skin, glinted with the light. "Don't do anything stupid," Rex warned.

The researcher growled as he spent the next several hours analyzing the data.

'Don't do anything stupid...' The researcher repeated in his mind as he worked on the formula. 'Doesn't he know how many people this will save?! With this, I can save my daughter! But he won't approve of it and with my daughter...'

"If you need help, we will help you for a price," A man with a mask said to him.

'Then... if he doesn't want to,' The researcher thought as he looked at the flash drive in the computer and how it downloaded the data needed... 'Just hold on, my little prin—, Why is there a hole in my monitor?'

"I told you to don't do anything stupid," The emotionless and blank voice of the director sent shivers down his spine as he hit the table, smashing on the keyboard. "Don't worry, you still have use for Iscariot, turncoat,"

Rex said nothing as he stared at what used to be one of his researchers connected to a machine and a computer. A small black box replayed the memories and he said nothing.

"Experimenting on your daughter, reckless fool,"

"The world serpent, huh?" Rex whispered to himself before looking at the clone of Void Archives. "Serpent... I have an idea... but it's not concrete. Pulling out a folder from the imaginary space hidden inside the clone of the first divine key. "Infinity."

Blood-stained hands sleeves connected to the arms of the 'Doctor' opened the folder. "You should be connected to this... Past Era's Flame chasers' number 10, Mobius the Infinity."

Watching as the last bits of the machine got inserted into the corpse in front of him, Rex took one last look.

"I have a feeling that it's not that leads them..." The researcher stood up and took a bow in front of Rex. "No. 125, your job is waste management. No. 42 has already expired so it will be up to you,"

Rex blinked as he looked at Mei Raiden in front of him, their hands holding onto the same thing.

"Oh, you must be Rex, right? Kiana's friend?"

"Unfortunately," Rex replied as he looked at Mei and let go of the item. "Though, she mostly drags me around," He said with a shrug.

A small melodic giggle from Mei echoed in the small area they were in.

"She does that a lot," Mei said with a smile. "I'm Mei, Mei Raiden,"

"Rex, Rex Crozzo," Rex said with a nod.

Rex Crozzo smiled as he watched his niece, Reese, play with his wood carving. "Why are you here?" Rex asked, looking at an awkwardly smiling Mei. For some reason, Elysia asked the both of them to look over Reese.

'I am a monster, I know.' Rex thought to himself as he looked at Reese. The images of countless subjects he watched either through monitors or windows depending on what was needed. How he mercilessly killed and massacred people since he pledged his loyalty and skills to his great-granduncle. Looking at her chest, and through her heart where the bomb is located, Rex's mind moved to the Miniature Void Archives clone, his strongest weapon. If needed to be, he will kill her now for the safety of his niece. 'I wonder... when will I lose it all and snap?' He thought to himself ass his mind fell deeper into the abyss.

A soft hand from a toddler barely a year old tugged on his sleeve. An innocent smile and trusting eyes met with the lifeless and emotionless look of her uncle.

"Dick,"

"That moron should stop hanging out with us," Rex said with a small smile while rubbing her head.

"Moron!"

"gh!" Rex sighed, knowing how much Elysia would scold him later.

"Sorry," Mei said, fighting her giggles as much as she could as the toddler clung to his side.

"Shut up," Rex said with a sigh, faint pink misks forming on his cheeks.
