Sirin Kaslana, the oldest daughter of the Kaslana family, froze as she noticed something. A friend of hers, Elysia, sent her a photo of Kiana and the others.  Kiana, Mei, and Elysia were there but the man was being hugged possessively by her younger sister as discreetly as she could while keeping him away from Elysia. 

"MOM! Kiana has a boyfriend!"

 "Ara?" Cecilia asked, peeking her head out of the doorway.

"Director, are you alright?" A researcher asked Rex. 

In the middle of his meal, Rex froze and shivered a bit. Something was wrong.

"Why?" Rex asked, seeing Kiana eat her chips while lying on the couch on her stomach while reading some books. "How?" 

"Elysia sent me here," Kiana said with a bright grin while showing him a container. 

"Eat it, I already ate lunch," Rex said, ignoring how Kiana was in his house.

"Really?! Yay! Thanks, Rexie!" Kiana said with a grin before rolling on her back and raising her legs for a bit before resting them on his lap after he took a seat. "I alread—,"

"Rex, someone's looking for—eh?" Kirino stopped as soon as she saw Kiana and blinked several times. 

"Huh? Are you cheating on me, Rex?!" Kiana asked, sitting up in one motion while glaring at Rex playfully. 

"I will smack you with a frying pan," 

"Be nice!" A hand pinched and pulled on his ear. Elysia Shariac, carrying baby Reese, pulled on his ear and Rex sighed.

"Big sis,"

 "Hiss!" Kiana silently and discreetly hissed while hugging him. 

"Do you need help, Kirino?" Rex asked the girl looking at him with a pout. She looked a lot like Kiana and it started hurting his head. 

"U... n-no," Kirino said with a blush. 

"Oh yeah. Big sis Ely, this is Kirino, my neighbor," Rexsaid with a smile, Kiana noticed this and did not like it. "This is Kiana... she's... not sure but she doesn't have rabies... I think," "

"Hello, Kirino. I am Elysia Shariac, his older sister," 

"In-law," 

"Rex, I helped raise you. I tucked you in and did a lot of things for you," 

"Are you married to Rein yet?"

"Next month," 

Rex froze as he looked at Elysia and Reese. 

"Bleh, stinky!" Reese broke the silence and the trio looked at the toddler while Kirino blinked and looked at Elysia.

Rex discreetly smelled himself and only noticed the sterilized scent coming off him. The smell of menthol cigarettes wafted off his breath. 

"Rex, did you start smoking again?" Kirino asked while shaking his head. 

"Hmph! Smoking is bad!" Kiana said with a pout before pinching his cheek. An act that made Elysia look at Kiana with wide eyes, even more so when Rex did not glare or do anything to her. Rex always hated when people got into his personal space, even more, so when it was someone he did not know.

Her beautiful eye twinkled as he looked at how Rex seemed so unbothered by Kiana's presence. 

"Rex, is Kiana here? Oh my?" Mei said, pausing as she saw Kirino and Kiana. "Ara?"

"Amber, how do I predict women?" Rex asked the right-hand woman of Otto Apocalypse as he looked at the reports on his desk. 

For her part, Amber looked at Rex with wide blue eyes under her visor. 

"Do you have someone you like, Rex?" Amber asked, her voice going softer than normal. Here he was, the boy she saw as a nephew. It filled her heart. 

"Kiana Kaslana... I only met her last month and she's like someone I've known all my life," Rex admitted. 

"Hmm, it is normal. The Crozzo and Kaslana families have been close to each other for over a thousand years now," 

"That sounds like a bad Cultivation novel," Rex snarked with a sigh before tossing the folder on the table. "So about our visitors?" Rex asked. "Did you prepare them?" 

"Yes. the preparations are complete," Amber said as she looked at her tablet. 

"Very well. You may leave," 

Alone in his office, Rex turned to the monitors on his back and watched the experiments happen. 

"Project Stigma, a last resort... and it's my burden to make sure to contain this threat," Rex whispered to himself as the monitors changed to children suspended in tubes filled with some sort of liquid.

"God, if you can hear me. Please forgive this children," Rex prayed as he looked at the children. "This sin... is mine, and mine alone," Rex whispered to himself. "Please let these children go to heaven when it's their time," the youngest Crozzo begged as tears fell from his eyes for the burden he put these children in. 

After all, just like him and his brothers, they were all orphans.

Rex said nothing as he awkwardly looked at the faces of his Himeko Murata, Bronya Zaychick, Kiana, Mei, and some other women while he sat in front of a girl with white hair and blue eyes. Dressed in casual clothes, he stood beside Kirino. They were on the way to watch a movie in the Cinema and they appeared. 

"Are you on a date?" His aunt, Theresa Apocalypse, asked with a sly grin, elbowing his leg. 

"We're only hanging out," Rex said with a shrug as Kirino introduced herself. "I have a day off and our schedules matched," 

"Fufufu~ Don't be shy, let Auntie Teri know already," 

"I will punt you off a cliff," 

"Do it and I'll release those photos," 

"Touche,"

Rex stood over the last tube where a child floated. With no emotions, he raised his hand and pulled the hammer back.

Water mixed with blood leaked on the floor as Rex turned around only for roaring flames to evaporate and melt everything inside.
