When I was ten years old Jocelyn Fairchild took me in and raised me with her daughter. When I arrived that first night she told me that her daughter had no memory of the Shadow world and that I was not to speak of it ever. I did everything in my pow...
Somewhere between the pier and Mags's loft, I regained consciousness. I looked over and saw that Luke was pretty beaten up. He had several bite marks and claw-like lacerations. Simon was driving and Jace was riding shotgun; not sure when Jace stopped hating Simon. Simon parked the car and came around to help Clary carry Luke inside. Jace opened my door and pulled me up. He saw that I was awake enough to walk so he just supported my weight.
"What happened?" Magnus asked, rushing over to the group.
"He was attacked!" Simon exclaimed.
"He needs a warlock," Clary explained. "He needs you."
Magnus grabbed a sheet and threw it over the couch. They laid Luke over the sheet as he mumbled like crazy. Jace helped me over to an armchair before going to stash Luke's car. Luke started sputtering nonsense before Mags cut him off.
"Was he bitten by an alpha?" Mags asked.
"Yeah, why?" Simon answered.
"Three, two, one..." As Mags finished counting, Luke shot up, his eyes bright green and his fangs on full display. Luke laid back down and started yelling and thrashing.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"Hold him down." Mags left the room and came back with a piece of bark and a gold bowl. "We don't have a lot of time." He shoved the bark between Luke's teeth. "It'll take a few moments to take effect."
"What's happening to him?" Clary asked.
"Random werewolf transformation," I answered. "It's a side effect of the poison in the alpha bite." The bark started working because Luke became calmer by the second.
With a calmer Luke, Mags was able to get to work. Bandages were applied to slow the bleeding but a potion still needed to be made in order for Luke to fight the poison. I had Simon help me to my room so I could change into something comfier as well as get some food. I changed into a pair of black yoga pants, a burgundy lace crop top, and a cream fluffy sweater. Once I was feeling a bit more like myself, I joined everyone in the living room.

"The bark will stop the transformation for now," Mags said, reentering the room holding pots with different ingredients, "but Luke needs an antidote to stop the poison in his system. And I don't have all the ingredients here."
"Just tell me what you need and how to get it," Clary offered.
"No, you stay here. Luke will need you if he wakes up."
"When he wakes up."
"I'll go," Simon and Jace offered simultaneously.
Jace came back with a bloody nose. "Jace, what happened?" I asked, walking over to inspect the injury.
"Luke's car may have found its way into a pole while I was stashing it," Jace said. I gave him a 'seriously' look. "I don't do mundane driving."
"Yeah, apparently," Simon said with a bit of snark.
