Jimin's POV
Since the day Yoongi was announced dead, the palace had been upside down. Yoongi was a popular man. He was adored by his men and even the other generals and their men. Even the ministries who stood against him in court were shocked by his death.
Taehyung had been in bed since then. He had a high fever that didn't seem to go away any time soon. The doctors said he was physically fine, and I knew it too.
However, I was failing to cheer him up. Maybe because I myself needed help, but that wasn't important. I had to find a solution for Tae.
His condition was worsening every day. By the rate we were going, he would literally die. All he does was to faint, have nightmares, vomit, panic attacks and stare at the void. He accepts to eat when I feed him, but it was of no use because he would throw up everything at the end.
I started to tap the floor with my foot, feeling pressure build up inside me. How come I am his wife, and of no use to him. Shouldn't I be the one to get him out of this state.
Why am I failing?
Is it because I am actually man?
Is it something only a woman could do to her husband?
No way that's true even if it is, I will break such rule.
"My princess," Hoseok called me, snapping me out of my thoughts which were tiring me.
"Yeah," I looked at him as he stood in front of me with a concerned look.
We were staying out of my room, leaving Taehyung to have some sleep, or actually hoping he would have some peaceful rest this time.
"I was speaking with Kookie about the prince's condition, and he has a solution, a hard one I assume," Hoseok uttered, making me jump from my place.
"What is it?" I inquired.
Hoseok eyed Kookie, who was standing at Taehyung's door unaware of our conversation and said, "Prince Seokjin if you managed to make him reach prince Taehyung, it would reverse the effect of Yoongi's death or at least speed his healing."
My eyes widened. The idea was perfect, but was it applicable? and why haven't Kookie mention it?
I frowned, remembering Yoongi's words when we were at Jin's village. Yoongi got angry at Kookie for standing and watching without taking any action despite knowing Taehyung's nightmares.
Kookie wouldn't dare take an action without Taehyung's permission that was the type of man he was, passive. I felt the anger Yoongi must've felt then as I clenched my fists and walked to him.
"Kookie we need to talk," I stated, but he just gave me a side eye.
"You really are annoyed of me for not summoning you here. Well, guess what Taehyung never asked for you since I was with him," I blurted and directed his face at me with my index.
"Pathetic. Spending all this time with him and still can't help him," Kookie jerked his face to slip my hand from his face.
"That's why I came to you. Hoseok told me about your solution. Give me details. How to bring prince Seokjin here," I crossed my arms, waiting for his answer.
