Chapter - 7

    With the birds chirping on the window delivering the message of a new morning.. a new start and a new hope..

   Lily squirm slightly in her sleep.. her eyelids red and swollen as there were still few tears slipping out of her closed eyes slowly yet continuously..

  A warm palm covered her face wiping the tear the moment it left her eye.. her eyelids pressed together as she felt ticklish because of feathery touch..

   Her lifeless body started to gain the power to move as her sleep finally broke down in the arms of the most loving man in the world.. her father..

  Her head was laying on his lap and her body was covered with blanket as his hand was gently patting over her back to calm her down..

  Her finally opened eyes turn to look at her father only to witness him smiling at her warmly..

  Lily:" Dad.. " she gasp immediately wiping off her tears and getting up from his lap as he let her do it.. 

  Lily:" what are you doing here? " She asked wiping her face to get rid of morning laziness while her father chuckle..

  Lily:" don't stare at me.. I look funny.. " she pouted hiding her face in her palm making him chuckle harder at her..

  Mr.Gayle:" there.. there.. you are just like your Mom.. " he said teasingly holding her wrist to remove her palms.. he held her cheeks like a father, delicately and pressed his lips on her forehead making her morning filled with warmth and love..

  Lily:" I know.. you have been saying this to me since my childhood.. " his hand patted her head as his eyes dimmed..

  Mr.Gayle:" what happened?.. " Lily, who was adjusting her hairs hummed at him confused..

  Mr.Gayle:" Your Mom told me.. you seemed upset yesterday and didn't even come down for dinner.. " her hands which were on her head fell on her lap..

Mr.Gayle:" I was late yesterday so when I came in your room you were already sleeping.. " Lily blink gently, her expression fallen as she kept quiet for a moment..

  Mr.Gayle:" you know you can share it with me right?.. tell me what happened? " He held her hands in her and assure her calmly..

  Lily look at him for a moment.. seeing his father worry for her make her feel someone special.. a special flower placed in his garden whom he protect and take care of..

  Lily:" everything is fine.. I have no worry when you are with me.. " she said throwing her arms around her father's neck and hug him tightly making him smile..

   Mr.Gayle:" but I wasn't there yesterday.. " he whispered placing his hand on her back gently..

  Lily:" I am fine Dad.. " she rest her chin on his shoulder as her eyes saddened..

  Mr.Gayle:" you are lying to me.. even when I never taught you to lie " her heart ache listening to the disappointment in his voice.. she immediately pull away..

  Lily:" Dad.. " she held his hand and look at him apologitically..

  Mr.Gayle:" I understand.. there are things you can't open up with with others.. but I am your father and I want you to come to me whenever you are ready to open up.. " her eyes brim with tears listening to the care and love his voice hold.. the understanding his heart always offer to her was speechless..

  Mr.Gayle:" Shh.. don't cry my doll " he wiped her tears and again kiss her head..

  Mr.Gayle:" you can't cry I am not rich enough to pay for hospital fee of every person passing by you.. " she gasp wiping her tears immediately as she stare at her father unpleased..
