Chapter - 13

With small hand covered by a gentle one as the little girl held it with all the trust she had, putting it on the boy walking besides her..

......:" are you tired? " His voice rang out as he turn his face towards the side.. his eyes looked down at her..

The little girl shake her head as she gripped his hand more tightly.. with her heart still scared to be alone at foreign place.. she just don't wanna let go of him..

He smiled slightly at her.. she seems too cute and innocent.. her doe eyes seems like buttons.. beautiful ones which has been stuck on him for quite a while now..

.....:" don't worry I am not leaving you alone.. " he said gently to her as he squeeze her soft hand softly..

.....:" I told you I will bring you back to your parents.. you can be at ease.. " he assured her with a smile and her heart felt warmth.. like all of his breath surrounded her delicate heart and make it swell with warm feeling..

She smiled up at him widely this time.. she may not talk much but this change in her response make him believed that this girl has began to put her trust on him.. he felt happy..

With her eyes still stuck on him who was staring ahead leading her with small steps.. the girl didn't bother to watch her steps.. her already wobbling legs tired after walking constantly for what feels like hours to her..

So when her feet touched a stone on the ground.. she lost her balance immediately.. her small knees rubbed on the floor hardly as she yelped in pain making the boy look at her worriedly..

Her state make her panicked as her face immediately filled with tears.. she clenched her small hands on her knee and cry loudly..

......:" Hey.. it's okay.. let me see.. " he kneel down infront of her.. trying to get a hold of her wounded leg but she cried louder scooting away from him..

.....:" let me see.. " he said gently this time pulling out a handkerchief from his pocket.. he raised it infront of her to assure her that he was trying to help..

Judging from his age.. his moves were swift and he seems to know how to handle messy and clumsy people.. he also had good amount of patience and his heart seems to be a lot gentler than she anticipated..

She stare at him with her cheeks tained in red.. her small heart did a gentle flip in her chest as she stare at him with wide eyes.. he blew her small scratched area before covering it and she felt goosebumps on her body..

She immediately pushed her arm infront of his face the moment he was done trying the knots of the handkerchief.. he look up at her confused before she pressed her finger on the small mountains raising on her skin..

......:" Oh.. was it that painful?.. " he asked amused seeing the girl nodding her head.. her eyes were serious as she stare at him determined...

.....:" don't worry it will fade away soon.. " he could only assure for betterment.. his hands engulfed her small arm in-between his long fingers and gently rub it in between his palms..

Her lips parted as she stare at him focused on her arm.. a pout formed on her lips as she saw him pulling away.. her arm lost the warmth of his touch..

.....:" you can't walk anymore.. here get on.. " he slowly sat infront of her again.. with his back facing her this time.. she blink gently not knowing what to do..

.....:" You don't know about piggy ride?.. you just need to get on my back.. " her small heart felt triggered at the thought of how she is going to lay on his back.. his palms were open on his back ready to hold her..
