Dreamy Dreams

Chapter - 9

 
  With the moon shinning on the sky.. the streets quiet, shaded with it's beautiful light.. penetrating in the room also.. dark.. black totally at it's mercy..

  The man was exploring his drawer.. going through different material before his hands gripped on a box.. he sigh pulling it out before closing it..

  He could feel the stares of the girls sitting on the couch.. his back feels more itchy.. she tilted her head staring at him who stood there quiet for a moment..

  Lily:" why is your room always this dark? " She asked in a low voice and he huff a stock of air through his nostrils.. turning towards her.. his steady feet make her feel giddy in her chest..

  Ethan:" I told you.. everything here is influenced by my thoughts and emotions.. " he said sitting down infront of her.. she was taken back from his sudden action when he raised his hand to apply ointment on the bruise of her face..

   Lily:" I can do it myself.. " she said trying to remove his hand but a layer of goosebumps spread through her body as her soft hand touched his.. she look down and stare at his eyes.. deep and dark..

  Lily:" have you been always this dark? " She asked feeling her mind turning numb around him.. she can't get to think as well as she can usually..

  Ethan:" does it matter?.. what matter is that how is it right now.. " he said pressing his finger on the corner of her lips and she hiss gently..

  Lily:" you really don't have to do this.. it will go away soon " she said indicating the real world.. it's gonna fade away till other night..

  Ethan:" we shouldn't leave a wound in open.. when a bruise healed on it's own.. it leave a scar of it's kind.. " she blink gently as he withdraw his hand away..

  Lily:" why were you there? " she asked in a low key as he look up at her.. his eyes appeared softer than before..

  Ethan:" why did you go there? " he asked looking up at her.. she was breathing slowly but it seems like she was breathing all of the air in the room the way his chest was tightening just by looking at her breathing..

      ' was he that relief to see her fine? '

  He asked himself this question but like always.. there wasn't any reply..

  Lily:" if we both kept answering questions with questions we won't get anywhere.. " she said as her heart was already tired with the circle of going through the same dream.. same emotions.. she was stuck and she hates it..

  Ethan:" then tell me Lily.. why did you go there? " he asked again and she tilted her head..

  Lily:" I asked the question first.. " she said her hands gathering on her lap as he study her silently.. tonight even his silence seems so gentle..

  Ethan:" I just wanted to protect you.. " he replied staring straight in her eyes making her forget how to breath for a moment before she turned her eyes down.. her finger pressing on her lap..

  Ethan:" I was worried.. you might ended up getting hurt.. you seems like a child lost in a world you know nothing of.. always alone and quiet like you want to consume everything about it but.. " he come to a halt seeing her breaths accelerating she look at him listening to silence and he smiled..

  Ethan:" a bowl is never suitable for the sun.. this world is too much for a human.. it's full of toxicity.. bitterness.. sweetness and spiciness.. we can get a piece of each of them but consuming everything to the fullest is not something a human should do.. " her eyelids shake as she fisted on her night dress..
