"Full schedule..full schedule...full schedule until the end of the week." Zam murmured habang chinecheck ang schedule niya for this week sa kanyang laptop.
She was sitting on the sofa near their bed habang inaayos ang kanyang schedule.
"Full schedule, Honey?" napaangat siya ng tingin ng marinig ang boses ni Chase. Kakalabas lang nito mula sa opisina nito at umupo ito sa gilid ng kama sa tapat niya.
Tipid siyang ngumiti. "Yup. Kids graduation, meeting and contract signing with the client, preparation sa end of year events. Mukhang gagabihin ako nito for the whole week." sabi niya.
Tumango tango lang ito and looked at her softly. "Mukhang parehas tayong busy next week, I have so many meetings outside the office." sabi naman nito.
She heaved a sigh. "But it's just a week. We'll get it through." she said smiling.
Tumayo ito at tumabi na sa kanya at inakbayan siya. "Yeah. I need you to be patient again, Honey." saad nito at kinintalan siya ng halik sa noo.
Tumango lang siya and then cupped his face for assurance that they will be alright.
The dreadful week came for her and Chase. Maaga siyang nagising at umalis because of early meetings. Ayaw naman niyang abalahin si Chase dahil lagi itong puyat kaya hindi na niya ito ginising.
Around 10 am ay lumabas siya ng opisina to grab some breakfast. Ngayon lang siya nagkaron ng free time kapag dating nya sa opisina niya.
While she was walking towards a cafe ay napukaw ang atensyon nya sa lalaking mukhang may kausap na kliyente. She smiled widely dahil si Chase iyon.
She stared at him for a moment because her husband is smiling. Her heart pounded so hard dahil rare lang ito ngumiti. Madalas sa kanya, sa mga kaibigan nya at sa mga kliyente lang nito.
When she was about to open the door ay napatigil siya ng bahagyang lumingon sa gawi niya ang kausap ng asawa. Dahan dahan niyang binitawan ang knob ng pinto at napahawak sa dibdib nya. She felt a pain in her chest. Nanlalamig siya at hindi niya maexplain ang nararamdaman niya.
Ngayon nya lang napansin na ang kausap ng asawa niya ay si Margaux, ang ex-girlfriend nito. Hindi siya nito nakita dahil ibinalik agad nito kay Chase ang atensyon nito. She walked slowly at napasandal sa pader na katabi ng pintuan ng cafe.
A lot of questions are popping in her head kung bakit magkasama ang dalawa. She is panting as she is having an anxiety attack.
"Why are they together? Why Chase did not tell me he is meeting Margaux?" natatranta niyang kinuha ang cellphone sa bag niya and opened it, only to find no message from Chase.
"Why is Margaux back? Why are they chatting so happily?" sunod sunod na tanong niya sa sarili.
Nilingon nya ulit ang mga ito and Chase is still chatting with Margaux casually. She saw him smile from to time. When she is about to snap ay bigla niyang naalala ang sinabi ni Chase. He loves her and he does not want to be separated from her. She should trust what he is feeling for her.
Malalim siyang huminga at pinakalma ang sarili niya. "How could you think that way? How could you doubt Chase's feelings for you?" Napailing iling nalang siya.
"I'm sure Chase would tell me about it." she said smiling and walked away from the cafe. She does not want to disturb Chase mamaya mali na naman siya ng hinala tulad nung nangyari sa hotel.
Kinagabihan ay nakareceive siya ng message mula sa asawa niya. Nagsabi ito na nasa bahay na ito at iintayin siya nito hanggat kaya nito. Wala itong nabanggit na nagkita sila ni Margaux ngunit naisip niya na baka kaya sya nito aantayin ay dahil sasabihin nito ang dahilan kung bakit sila magkasama ni Margaux.
