I am now continuing the course that I started years ago, this might sound a little absurd in the society's standard...I might be 8 years late, but the important thing is..I am here, pursuing fine arts once again..and hoping this time, I will be able to reach the finish line
After class, I went straight to our new apartment
Thankfully, mas malapit sa school ko compare sa apartment namin dati ni Cremeliana
In a span of two months I can say that my life spins again 360 degrees
There are lot of changes
and I can say, better changes
"Hi! Ms. Stella Robert Katigbak, how's school? napamangha mo nanaman ba professor mo?"
Nang-iinis na bungad sa akin ni Cremeliana pagkapasok ko sa apartment
Nakwento ko kasi sa kaniya na noong first practical examination namin ako yung nag-top
Tapos ayan, palagi na siya natutuwa mang-asar sakin
But deep inside, alam kong masaya siya sa lahat ng nangyayare sa buhay ko ngayon
"Huy taas na ako, ikaw ba?"
Sandali akong pumasok sa kwarto para ibaba ang bag ko
"Hala, grabe siya magtatrabaho agad? kakauwi lang galing klase? Ikaw na talaga Stellar!"
Yep, I am a working student
Fine arts student sa umaga at freelance painter sa gabi, I even have other jobs online
Dahil kahit na sinasabi ni papa na magpapadala siya sa akin para makatulong sa school at gastusin ko dito sa Manila, I can't let them shoulder my daily expenses and more so my school expenses
"Hays, tara na nga sa studio, sisimulan ko na din yung project ko"
Crem just followed me upstairs
Our place was inspired by Zion's, wala nga lang balcony na katulad nung kaniya
Cremeliana initiated the idea that we should rent a bigger space, a two storey apartment where we can freely and conveniently work with our paintings
And when I say there are lot of better changes in my life, and so do in Cremeliana's life
Her parents finally accepted her completely—her passion...they even help us get this amazing apartment
As I gaze upon our studio, it dawns on me that there are truly many good things lying ahead, and all we must do is to trust the process
