MICHAEL
Oh my god.
It's her...
It's THAT girl. The one I saw during the concert where Luna ran out on me.
I've been looking all over for her.
All along, she's friends with LUNA!Well, that's quite the smack to my face.
I can't help but stare at this girl, at Star.
Her name...it sounds pretty.Luna glances between us, before...
"Well, I'm gonna go get some candy. Star?" She pushes Star closer to me, which makes my heart beat speed up."Why don't you two chat?"
My eyes widen.
"Luna-" Star turns, but by now, Luna is gone.
Leaving me alone with the girl that's been on my mind ever since that night. She glances at me, before shyly looking away, one hand gingerly pushing aside her curly hair.
She's really pretty up close.Come on Michael, don't blow this!
Maybe a little joke will melt this awkwardness between us.I chuckle a little. "Your's too?"
She looks at me. "What do you mean?" She asks. Even her voice is gorgeous."Ex-hippies," I point out, raising a hand, "I came this close to being called Moonbeam or Moonchild, or something like that."
Star begins to laugh softly.Alright, time to throw in a compliment.
"But Star's great, I like Star," I say, which makes her smile softly.
"Me too," she replies, staring up at me with those bright brown eyes."I'm Michael," I say, a little dumbfounded.
Wait...why did I say that?! She already knows my name! She purses her lips in a thinking way.
"Michael," she says, "Michael's great, I like Michael," she laughs.
Haha, how smooth of her.
I glance towards where Luna ran off, not seeing her anywhere.I think the real reason why she left was because she wanted us to have a moment for us to get to know each other.
Maybe she won't mind if I steal Star for the night?I'll explain it to Luna when I get the chance.
"Do you wanna get something to eat?" I ask.
Star's eyes widen, and she looks where I did, realizing that Luna is not there."I, I don't know," she says a little shyly, "I shouldn't leave my sis- I mean, friend, hanging."
I shrug. "I'm sure Luna will understand," I nod towards my bike. "I know a nice place just down the street.""Michael, I..." She trails off, sighing just a little.
Crap, am I blowing it?
She glances at me, a small smile on her face. "Okay."Okay? That means yes!!
I try to hide my excitement as I lead her to my bike.
"Ladies first," I say, with a sly smile.
She giggles again, getting on and getting in a good position.
I climb on next and kick start my bike. And then, we're driving down the road.
***
LUNA"Hey," I approach the curly haired boy, "Marko."
I tap on his shoulder, and he looks over at me.
His eyes widen when he sees it me, and he jumps sightly.
