Chapter 12

Ok so I got really stuck with this chapter, like I sat staring at a blank page of my iPad for days and still couldn't think of anything, so I'm not sure if it's gonna be any good.

"Your mate!" Mika screeched making me wince, but nodded "that's great.....isn't it?" I looked up at the ceiling then at Mika, shrugging my shoulders "what if they are like Paris" I whispered "Oh.....I want to say to you that no one in my pack is like that but I can't, I don't know everyone personally...do you know who it was?" I shook my head No "I ran before I could find out" I played with my fingers for a few minutes "I'm not ready, it hasn't even been a year, I'm really not ready" "maybe your not ready but maybe they are, or maybe they really need you, look you have been granted a second chance that is amazing, I know your scared hell I would be and I only know what you have told me but just take one step at a time and if you need to step back do it" I nodded "ok" I looked at my watch "ok I really need a shower and sleep as I have work in a few hours, good night Mika and thank you".

Mika POV
Wow oh wow, wow double wow, a second chance mate is very fucking rare and to happen to Davis, I'm so happy for him, a little bit sad because I'm the same age and I'm still waiting for my mate but I would never want to go through what he went through.
I'm sitting at my desk just finishing up some paperwork, as it's Christmas Eve thought I would treat myself and finish at lunchtime, go me! When I get a knock at the door and Cara walks in
"Morning Alpha, I was wondering if I could have a word with you"
"Morning Cara, that's fine, take a seat, how can I help you?" She closed the door and took the seat at my desk. Cara was a quiet girl, nice but quiet. She was nervous and kept looking around the room.
"I'm not sure, what I'm meant to do, I came home from university yesterday and was helping with the decorations and I smelt my mate but when I went looking for them they had vanished I asked around about anyone that had turned 18 whilst I was at uni or anyone that had joined whilst I had been gone and was told about Davis, I went past his room this morning and he is definitely my mate, I'm just.......I guess confused why he has ignored me"
"Oh Cara, I can tell you 100% it's not you, I know his past and....let's just say it's complicated and he is very scared, he told me last night he thought he smelt you but because of his past he is scared and went and hid. I can't tell you what happened to him it's not my place, all I can say is please please be patient with him, he is such a lovely guy and in the short time I have known him has become one of my best friends, he is at work right now but I will text him and let him know you have come to me, if that's ok"
"Yes that's fine, thank you for telling what you could and I will wait for him, what's a few more days" she said with a sad smile.
Just as I started to look at my paperwork again, the door knocked again and in walked Crystal
"Hi Alpha Mika, can I have a quick word with you?" I nodded and put the paperwork down and she sat in the same spot Cara sat in minutes before.
"So Crystal what can I help you with?" "Well you know I asked if I could visit my friends pack before coming home for Christmas oh yes Alpha Declan's pack, did you enjoy yourself?"
"Yes I did, in fact I met my mate whilst I was there" she said smiling
That wonderful, so will you be moving to his pack?" "Well actually Connor was visit Alpha Declan's pack he is from down south The Nightshade Pack, so yes I'm asking for permission to move after new year to the Nightshade pack also the reason he was at Alpha Declan's was due to his sister, he is looking for his sister Lilly she went missing in May, so I said I would check whilst I was talking to you, as he had to go back to his pack"
"Well congratulations, it's a shame we couldn't meet Connor, I will get the paperwork sorted and emailed over to The Nightshade Pack, is there a reason why or how Lilly is missing?" "There is, it's a bit complicate and personal, he is the second in command, well he will be soon, anyways Connor, Lilly and Mason, the Alpha to be, were all really close but Lilly didn't shift or something happened to her wolf and they ignored her, she ran away when she turned 18"
"Well really that's not a lot he can do she is 18, a legal adult but I can tell you that we haven't had anyone ask to join our pack or any female wolves come through our pack since I took over, however i am now worried that you are going to a pack where it looks like they bully and abuse other pack members, are you sure you want to go?" I said to her truthfully. She nodded her head "I brought that up to him and he said he is aware of what he has done and is ashamed of it but because his parents and the Alphas parents started it, it didn't really click it was wrong until she disappeared and he has promised me that he will do everything he possibly can to stop it ever happening again"
"Ok, if you sure about, I will start the paperwork as I open my laptop back up" "Thank you Alpha Mika and I will see you for Christmas movies later tonight"
